for some arcane reasons, capitalist enterpreneurs prefer to do less risky things than fundamental research.

And capitalist researchers have the choice of studying something that pays well besides studying something that lets you starve.

Even the former bastions of communardism have embraced the market. Capitalism reigns as an economic model anywhere institutions are strong enough to support it (one or two exceptions that prove the rule). The difference lies in whether socialist political parties become strong enough to dominate government and siphon off a large part of the excess wealth markets generate and transmute that into public goods (free college, free healthcare, etc.). In first world European countries, such parties exist; in the US, there are no such parties and wealth accumulates at the very top and perpetuates itself via interest income, while the lower classes go bankrupt after a single health crisis on their Walmart slave wage and out of depression go out on the streets looking for opioids.

ZVUKI MU Is better

Monokled, but zvuki mu is more of a hit or miss. Stuff like Простые вещи is 10/10, but some other is questionable. Auktyon has been spitting out quality stuff non-stop since their first release.

I don't think it makes much sense to rank them, they're so different.

Cool and out-of-the-box artrock > postpunk

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Can we not talk about politics? I'd rather not listen to a bunch of people that are too stupid to shit on communism effectively, and a bunch of commies that by into this bullshit that equity is a goal that's even worth achieving, much less possible.

Yeah, it's totally in the naked capitalism's interests to finance fundamental research that has no practical application in any kind of sense?

How many physics nobel prizes are given to those who work in theoretical physics, with no immediate applications irl? Which countries produce and finance those researchers?

Another couple of examples: deep learning. There has been a shitload of hype around this tech, with hundreds of millions being poured into r&d, but so far it's not bringing in profit (or even recouping the costs). A second example is crispr cas9 gene editing. From what I gather, there are no immediate programs to begin application and monetization of the breakthroughs, but research is going full steam ahead.

Regardless of Khor1255's worst fears, Capitalism is not moving toward Socialism, but away.

You'd have to be stupid or a Republican to actually think capitalism is moving toward socialism. Capitalism has been moving towards even more Capitalism since the end of the Cold War. We're living in an age where not just public resources but also nearly every aspect of private life has been successfully commoditized. If we have a future it is cyberpunk without the cool tech and much more boring corporations.
Oh, goodie - a fresh new group of enlightened geniuses to school on how the world works.

Thanks Coach. The only question remaining is where to begin?

Pro tip:
Socialist economic policies = a move toward socialism.

You're welcome.

BTW that shout-out to Viktor Tsoi? Good stuff. I discovered him in the nineties when he was already dead. It’s a crying shame Kino isn’t better known in the West, even with the language barrier.

You already got the Cure, why would you want a bad copy?

Quick question, Ladies and Gentlemen: is the game "complete", fully patched etc., or are there and DLC on the way?

I don’t know what plans they have but it’s pretty smooth. Was pretty smooth right out of the gate as a matter of fact.
