"Second slide to fascism" - that's a bit of an overstatement, isnt it?
Leftists, specially of the communist variant, are dramawhores. A big portion of them almost seem to get off with the idea of being part of la résistance fighting against the big evil baddie even when the entire establishment backs them. Must be the reason why once in power the commies start killing everyone, lest fascism could resurrect from the ashes in the next five minutes.

This is not about Robert really. I am not on very good terms with him right now… I think about the last time we were on very good terms and having a whole lot of fun together was when we were editing Sacred and Terrible Air, really, which would make it about ten years ago. Or maybe it would be more precise to say: We have never been on *very* good terms.

In short, Robert was fired from the company whose heart and seed he was due to claims of ‘creating a toxic workplace environment’. Having worked at the company remotely in the summer of 2021 I can say things were truly not all right at the company, but I would say it is much more plausible that the toxic environment was created instead by the upper management and blamed on Robert. I have seen a similar situation before. The idealist workaholic does not pay attention to people’s psychological needs as the conspirator does and thus he will at most times be outplayed. Reminds me of the Stalin and Trotsky situation, in which Trotsky felt relatively safe due to his high intellect, hard-working personality and being loved by the people, while not paying attention to the relations with other Communist Party members, while Stalin knew that those were the most important relations. Of course we also know that these same Communist Party members excepting Kalinin and maybe a few others paid very dearly for falling prey to that smooth criminal.

So, what we have to understand about Robert is that already when he was 22, he was depressed about how it was not possible to make culture in Estonia. And I agree that it is not possible much. There is no audience here really. Things do not get discussed much.

As he said, not enough Jews. :M

Terrific people. Comparing Kurvitz to Trotsky and Abel, and the upper management to Stalin (and apparently Cain) -- just wow! It's also very funny when Luiga describes Kender as a "businessman from the '90s." This cliché is ultra-clear for all Eastern Europeans, I think.

Claims of "creating toxic workplace" = Corporate speak for: Someone who actually has talent, get things done and has a vision on its own instead of listening to "lol bro my market study said...".

He was an alcoholic who would show up to work drunk (if he even showed at all).

I mean, that guy DRUNKEN TO THE TOP, EVERY DAY, writes BETTER than a bunch of so-called "PROFESSIONALS" in their right mind?

if I liked him before, I like him MORE now.

Imagine him sober and in good shape, HELL, the world literary genius of the century.

I'm under the impression he was on the wagon during the development of Disco Elysium and fell off after release.
