Morgoth has shit taste in FPSes, news at 11.

I'm guessing it'll be similar to DX:HR on the decline-incline meter, plenty of small things to bitch and moan about but overall a decent game.

They keep ripping chunks of flesh out of me like a lion from a weakend buffalo till it succumbs, but not me. No, you cunts can continue insulting me but I will remain steady and repeat again:

Dishonored will be a good game.

This isn't Thief, and only retards would compare it to Thief.

aka the devs?
Didn't they say it would have some similarities? It can use stealth, it can kill people, you have problems when there are multiple opponents and you didn't attacked them from behind. There are also differences. The main character is able to obtain powers like Geist, is assassin, investigates, killing people is one of objectives. This game shouldn't be bought because of stealth, stealth is SECONDARY in this game.

But HR has pretty good aesthetics, Dishonored looks kind of janky.

sea: Yes, I did indeed misunderstand you there.

Also, I agree with you on those points. Although I can't say how much player skill will help in Dishonored in the end.
But indeed, it's becoming ever more apparent that devs (or probably publishers) are obviously very afraid of making their games too "frustrating".
I'm pretty convinced though, that even most modern gamers (some casuals aside, maybe) are much more skillful and intelligent than publishers seem to think.

Such misplaced faith into humanity..Try being teacher once, after some contact with kids(not a private school for the few rich and educated) youll understand why consoles games are made like this nowadays, in fact i am pretty sure bethesda games are too complex for the new generation.

Is the 4h gameplay really confirmed ?

He doesn't have terrible taste, he just doesn't mind all the newfag shit as much as some of us. Sometimes, behind all that popamole newfaggotry there's an actual good game behind it all.

If this is it remains to be seen. Pre-loaded, but no time to play tonight.

Apparently it's more like 10 hours if you take your time, 15 or even 20 if you do all side missions and explore everything (TotalBiscuit said he was on chapter 7/12 and had spent about 8 hours including reloads, and missed stuff). The missions and dialogue also apparently change based on previous choices and whether you go lethal or non-lethal, so it seems like there is room for replayability. Sounds like a decent length for a shooter but obviously it is a shorter game than any of the Deus Exes.

You people really need to stop watching TotalBloatedHalibut. Why enable a man who gets paid just to give his 'impressions' and not even properly review games?

Good god, this mole is even shittier than I thought at first. Just look at the console shit combat. And lol, you can kill a guard 5m away from another, and even if he dies with his death moaning, the other guard is not going to hear anything.

Actualy according to some other reviews there are only 9 missions in the game,so it means a single playthough might take as little as 10 hours, with a second playthough to see the other low/high chaos setting/ending might take another 10 I guess.
That is quite short for a single player only game,I was planning to get this game as soon as it was released but now I am having second thoughts,it sound like a good game but a full price for this?
Maybe I will have to not-remove-it from the inventory now and buy a GOTY version on Steam in a year

Lol @ games you need to play "right" to enjoy.

You could rush through the levels, killing everyone in Thief, too. That didn't make it a shit game, it was just your loss if you decided to do so.

Wasn't skyrim the same? You had to ignore many, many skills and play it in a certain way to "enjoy it" and not break it.

Even so, Thief still had huge levels even if you did try to just murder your way through. Remember those ruins? Or the Bonehoard? There were a lot of these vast, amazing levels.

Video games need to have huge levels again. ._.

This thing makes Human revolution look like a masterpiece

Wonder if you also need to use a controller to play it 'right?'
