Yeah, it's retarded. Got this sidequest to take an unconscious guy to a "safe place", except there are no directions whatsoever so you need to turn on the quest marker to be able to discover the very specific spot where they want you to dump the fucker.

Harvey Smith said:
It's mostly not. You can totally turn them off in 99% of cases. And even there if he'a awake, he can escape with help.
It was a fix, in that spot, for the case where people knock him out and he dies.
I think that one goal probably does need them, sadly.
An anomaly, yes. Not sure if he always dies if unconscious.

God. This game. It started out okay but now I'm at the bridge and it's becoming really tedious. I think it has to do with the fucking sound design and the way it's just totally saturated with bass, like a shitty hollywood flick but turned up to 11. It's just this constant fucking noise, even when there's nothing happening there's a loudspeaker looping some ridiculous message or a ship blowing its horn or that droning sound when you're close to a relic and a million other high-volume low-frequency noises.

I feel like the game is skullfucking me with noise.

:( I should've known better after my youtube days that saying my unbiased opinions is not a good thing. Sorry, I will try to post much less, and I will read through what I am writing.

Oh yeah!? Well I got myself killed in the intro before you even get a weapon! I went up to the empress and saw the bald guy and my bodyguard sense started tingling, so as he was walking down the stairs I climbed up on the railings and jumped on his goomba head like Mario. Then the guard pulled his pistol out. Then game over.

Being popamole doesn't really matter since we're talking about stealth gameplay here. But it's not like Dishonored combat is any better.

Don't see map design being any better either.

So how is this game?

I actually saw the dude's funky mask on some gaming magazine, but I had no idea where he was from and I heard about it a few days ago.
It's the easiest game I've played in a while.

So how many missions does this have? Just played the bridge part.

Feels like an okay game, not something to remember months after playing, but okay. It's too easy though, didn't even unlock x-ray vision until last mission, and still don't use it. In fact I haven't used any of the skill besides bink, except slowing time for once.

After finishing the first mission, I realised there's a stat screen that shows how you did. The game recognizes if you ghost a mission.

Well fuck me.

That's enough incentive for stealth as far as I'm concerned. My Thief instincts are provoked. I can't play this without ghosting now, it's a question of honour, I am a profesionnal

It's fun, but it's definitely not any kind of incline. The consolization is strong with this one. And in my experience, you have to avoid using most/all powers and play basic stealth or it's extremely easy even on the hardest difficulty setting.

The stealth play gameplay is pretty fun, though. It's a shame that the powers are so few and either overpowered or pointless. There's a lot of failed potential here.

What he had discovered, aside from an awesome new way to torture interns, was infrasound. It's noise at a low enough frequency that you don't consciously hear it, but your ears still sense it. The process of receiving sensory input without your conscious mind understanding where it's coming from wreaks havoc with your emotions. Specifically, researchers found that sounds between 7 and 19 Hz it could induce fear, dread or panic.

Cool.

Why isn't a this used to create the "scariest movie of all time" by simply running an infrasound background track during the film?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
So what the fuck is it with that trend of "sequel = good, new IP = bad"? When the fuck did that start to happen?

I can still remember a time when new IPs with interesting new gameplay concepts were eagerly looked forward to by everyone because they were new and different.

And obviously they missed that the reason is that when a game is fucking good, the sequel will probably be too and all the fans of the original will auto-buy it.

*sigh*

So just finished the game, kinda short IMO, hope they make a sequel or prequel.
