Excellent choice.
Battlecry Studios is a video game developer based in Austin, Texas. It was created in 2012 by ZeniMax Media Inc and is headed by Rich Vogel, a long-time industry professional whose work includes Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies, as well as other online and console titles during his 20+ years in game development. Rich Vogel most recently served as the executive producer of Star Wars: The Old Republic during his time at Bioware Austin. Battlecry Studios is seeking employees with experience in "micro transactions," implying the studio is working on F2P games.
So Bethesda owns Id and consequently Id-tech but can't even convince its other internal studios to use it...not a great endorsement.
Carmack should say 'fuck you goodbye' to bethesda and go full oculus.
Interesting point, I went through it putting most everyone to sleep, including myself. Maybe I should've just played it as an FPS. I don't think I even tried most of the gadgets/weapons more than once since blink/choke/sleep bolt was so effective.I haven't bought the final DLC, but together with the base game, the one story dlc and the trials, I've played it for about 40 hours; so if you won't get too hung up on the small levels and lack of options compared to games like Deus Ex or Thief then I'd say it's worth the money. Be sure to play it aggressively, can't stress enough that the games strength is in combat - utilizing your agility and your powers - ghosting is extremely boring.
The same happened to me with Dishonored and rooftops/balconies/pipes/any kind of higher ground.DeepOcean said:Seriously, after a time , I knew that a vent was the anwer to all my questions.

If Doom 4 fails like Rage, you can kiss the entire idSoft goodbye.
Alot of missions in Dishonored don't have obvious easy paths all the way, you can find easier paths frequently but it isn't like HR where 90% of the level could be avoided with vents. Sometimes you are forced to go into the ground, this become even more true on the DLC where they toned down the pipes/rooftops nonsense. Another thing is that the level design of Dishonored is better in making those paths more integrated on the level geometry and a little less obvious, many times in HR I tough: "Where is the vent? I can guarantee is behind that stairs/boxes and etc over there and connects a public bathroom with the CEO office room for some reason. I was right most of the times."The same happened to me with Dishonored and rooftops/balconies/pipes/any kind of higher ground.DeepOcean said:Seriously, after a time , I knew that a vent was the anwer to all my questions.

..and Hitman Absolution, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Alpha Protocol 2/Clandestine, Metal Gear Solid 5, Mark of the Ninja, Incognita: Tactical Espionage, Assassin Creed Black Flag, etc.The problem with baking stuff like that is that the stuff they're supposed to be writing about is dead. That's why they'll be stuck with Dishonored and Thi4f.
From the games you listed it looks pretty dead to me.
