Ignore stabbey, he's a full retard. Now he talks about "us older folks who played back then but have no time anymore", except some months back when i tried to talk to him (about what the fuck DID he play, because his comments remind me why i'm a racist) it turns out he hasn't played shit. Not of real RPGs anyways. His idea of RPGs and ours are two different things.

I think that perfect quest log should provide recall of any information you have encountered as long as you know what to ask for, but not the interpretation or quest context (as in which if any quest it's relevant to) unless it's obvious.

Morrowind's journal was close to this ideal, allowing recall of any bit of dialogue and, with expansions, quest specific journal entries.
So was The Witcher's.

No markers (unless it's a sci-fi game and you home on coordinates or signal) and no hints beyond what you've seen and heard with your own eyes and ears already.

Yes, it's also a frivolous waste of time given that the game already knows what it had told me so it might as well repeat it on demand.

I'd rather see all forms of in-game maps (apart from the obvious case of in-universe ones) gone since they are inevitably conveying at least some metagame information.

Hello,

Good news: Steam keys for Divinity: Original Sin 2 are now available for backers! The game won't be available to play until September 15th, but you can already get your key and unlock it in your library so you can download it as soon as Early Access launches.

Just follow the instructions below to get your Steam key.

WARNING: This Steam key will be your only key (unless your Kickstarter Reward Tier says you will get 2 copies). This Steam key will unlock the Early Access game on Steam, which will then turn into the FULL game automatically next year. You will not get another separate key for the full game. Do not give away this key if you want to play the final game.

WARNING: Do NOT get a Steam key now if you want to play this game on GOG. Keys are currently only available for Steam, but keys for GOG will come later. You will NOT be able to swap a Steam key for a GOG key. If you want to play on GOG, you will have to wait until Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available on GOG.

To get your Steam key, please: Create an account at/log in to https://www.larianvault.com. Once logged in, click on the D:OS2 Kickstarter link in the top menu. If you haven’t linked Larian Vault to your Kickstarter account, you’ll be prompted to do so. Once your accounts are linked, click on the menu item "Your Choices & Input". In the list of rewards, look for the item "Divinity: Original Sin 2 Digital Download" (for some tiers, this reward will be called "Divinity: Original Sin 2 Digital Collector's Edition Download"). Select Steam. Click OK. Then click the link "Available! Claim now!". This will generate your Steam key.

Once you have your key, activate it on Steam as you would any other game (Click "Games" in the toolbar, click "Activate a product on Steam", and follow the instructions given) and then wait patiently for the 15th of September!
