Nostalgiafags will fail to understand how stupid they look with their overpriced steam download and manual that barely counts as a reference card
Overpriced except for the fact that cardboard copy is cheaper than pure digital over here.

Ooh, boxfags aren't gonna like this. The correct thing to do would be to make a deal like inXile did with Deep Silver. Filling their offices with boxes was pretty crazy.
"I would never again do all the boxed stuff, and I regret that we spent so much time on everything related to making a physical release happen."

I'm a dying breed.... :negative:

I hate to say it but that would severely minimize the amount I would pledge. I absolutely love the game but would only pay the $30-$40 for a digital only version, not the $100s I pledged for physical rewards. Yeah, I get it that the game itself matters most but those physical rewards do matter to my nostalgic self...
I can't understand all the attachment to cardboard considering you still have to use steam to download and install the game

The true Codexer(like me) had the option to get a DRM free DVD in addition to the beta key that turned into retail on Steam. Best of both worlds.

Don't bother, newfags who only ever warez games and acquired from pirate bay won't understand the appeal of boxed copies.
:whatho:
And when you will live in a small flat, where space if precious, you will understand that dozens of boxed games take up too much self space. :) When I moved out from my parents house, I had to leave my boxed games at home because in my flat, it would just take space away from otherthings. And at my parents they just gather dust. I loved boxed games but what good do they do? I am nostalgic to games, but boxes hold no nostalgic value for me.

So you make the Matt Chat videos in your parent's house? You do have a pretty nice collection of boxes there, if you ask me.

Concerning physical good I agree that they could ditch the box and a physical DVD, but I think it would make a lot of sense with some trinkets.

I would really dig a huge and comprehensive manual (300+ pages, Yah!) and a high quality map.

On a related note: I got a note from the post office about my Collector's Edition finally arriving. I am picking it up after work.

Anybody in the States received their Collector's Edition? Where they all mailed from Belgium? If so, it might take awhile to get here. :(
There were some shipment delays because HOORAY SUPPLIERS but stuff's mostly on the way now, bros. Some of the more involved stuff is still being waited on but yeh.

Wonder how many more copies they've sold since the 160k announcement.

Must be a crapload. I tried asking Swen on Twitter about that a couple of days ago, but he kept his mouth tightly shut.

I hope he's in the middle of writing that "1 million copies sold!" blog post. :P

Hear hear! Seriously, if this game sells 1 million copies this year I'll :dance:Because not only does Larian deserve it big time but it's certain to bring much greater and better incline.
