Yeah, I think Larian chose the worst option of the 3. Just have the watch issue an update, oh btw the kickstarter will go live next week.

Should have had a greater focus on the editor. "Larian's RPG Toolset! Includes a very polished 20h+ campaign!"
Also, they should have scrapped the co-op stuff and simply gone with a deeply reactive 1player game from the start. But that's just grumpy and lonely ol' Zed speaking.

Sven designed it for him and his gf, so it's unlikely that particular design decision would change.

I'm not a fan of co-op, but I think what they are doing with it is actually pretty cool.

At least it's a REAL Ultima game unlike Gariott's shitty MMO.

Beside, it's not like you can't afford to challenge the attention span of the watch. They are dedicated fans AND a small site. They would have made a second newspost with a link to the kickstarter and the interview.

Jokes on Belgians might be true after all

Something I don't really understand is the player characters. 1 man, 1 woman? They are both classless? If you make a module, are you forced to use the same characters? Are the characters customizable?

Finally watched the video. FUCK YES! That combat was glorious! <3 <3 <3

Erm... was it? I thought it was quite frankly boring. This must have something to do with the whole multiplayer focus. I can't see how they could make it a decent and challenging single player experience. I mean, aggro? :/ The only thing I liked was the synergy of elemental spells and effects.

Now the editor looked mighty interesting.

I must be one of few people who are ok with what's been shown abut the co-op. It's seriously just temporary control over one character (tho they can interact with NPCs and their choices do matter) and it looks like you can play the game single-player just fine. Sounds awesome to me.

Combat looked great. This KS is an easy way for me to get the game for 25 bucks. Sounds legit to me bros.

I've been ninja-ed.
Shame on me.

OT I  this Original Sin!
But the art is still too childish and cartoony for the God's sake!
This is definitely a :decline: from their past games.

That.... is bad. B was clearly the worst option out of the three, since it's unlikely any more than a few of the 70 would have moved so fast as to publish articles before one day had passed. A would at least have mitigated the dire lack of PR.

Really hope it doesn't screw them too much.

The lack of PR will just be a slow start. Should take up some momentum afterword.

I'll still keep biting my fingernails though...

Yep. They should have waited and let the article generate some hype and excitement and then and only then launched the campaign.

RPG Watch is a cesspool.

(though launching because of a fucking RPG Watch article is mother-effing stupidity liquified)

Kinda depressing when you remember that people with far less to show can gather 20 more cash in the same space of time.

Seems that they are following the same trend of other games with a similar funding goal, this means that they would have to sit tight till the last very day but reach the goal, way to squander a great opportunity.
