Yes, Larian finally getting some exposure with all these youtubers getting to hype it. Ohmwrecker, ~Quill and probably more to come.
The one issue I have with this is that IT SHOULD'VE BEEN FUCKING WAY EARLIER THAN JUST 5 DAYS BEFORE KS ENDS WHAT THE FUCK. HYPE PEOPLE FOR THAT SHIT AND THEN LAUNCH KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN

I'm kind of blown away that people can make a living just playing video games and making youtube videos. Clearly I should have embraced web 2.0 instead of shunning it.

I'm sure I can make some shit up. Maybe I can be arbitrarily pro or anti feminism and just spout the same 3 lines over and over again.

Yeah, you need to have a gimmick.
Like, you could pretend you're really angry at the games you play, have a facecam that shows your stupid forced facial expression and you need a catchy nick.
Like, maybe, AngrySpic.

Yes it should have been.

Would it all be possible for you guys to set up and extended kickstarter-less continuation of funding for say, another 2 weeks on your own website like a simple version of the star citizen fundraiser, to profit from this extra exposure and make it count towards the extra stretchgoals ?

I can't of course speak for our favourite Belgians (sorry Gragt), but most of not all of the major Kickstarter project have allowed PayPal donations to continue even after the official ending of the campaign.

Edit: and this money does count toward the stretch goals. The ToN Kickstarter for example left donations open to gain enough funds for the stronghold goal and project eternity would not have raised enough money for the $4M goal without counting PayPal donations.

Yes, but I seem to recall seeing KS getting waaaay more $$$ than any other donations.

Also I remember someone asking this or that it had been mentioned by larian, but in that last youtube vid it was confirmed that the current campaign and game can be modified too. So mods could puy in that day/night cycle.

@ 9:25

Also ForkTong that bit at 47:00 onward where he finds out that you can make the pumpkin helmet, that is viral material right there. It showcases the possibilities and ease of the crafting systems and everybody loves a good pumpkin helmet. Also the game needs this:

:hearnoevil: and :balance: as a helmet

Yes but you need those creditcards, paypall alone won't bring in enough.

You know, the last two videos that were posted seemed to involve normal, non-annoying people doing the review. A pleasant surprise. Why is it that the more popular YouTubers also seem to be more insufferable?

Because normal doesn't sell, as people have normal in their everyday lives and are looking for something else for their entertainment?

Isn't that we some of us play RPGs?

If some of the german speaking people would like to rage a bit, have a look at this preview from Radio Giga (Divinity begins at ~29min).
Man do they seem clueless.
D:OS is supposed to be a turn-based action RPG (which they consider a totaly stupid idea) and apparently is on Kickstarter because Larians publisher refused to pay more money for it because it's a broken trainwreck that should already have been released. Also it's too hardcore!
Kickstarter should not have let them start their clearly fraudulent campaign (as we know, all the other Kickstarter projects presented perfect and complete, bug-free games when they did their fundraising).
Dragon Commander fares only slightly better, as one of the guys found it completely confusing because it commited the atrocious sin of not showing tool-tips and quest markers all the time.
Larian should not have shown them some random scene from the game, but rather some easy-peasy tutorial level.

One of the guys at least seems less stupid and more open-minded - he said that once he got into the game (DC) he found it to be pretty fun. He also said that he admires Larians audacity for trying something new and unique (both in DC and DOS).

Also they have a terrible sense of humor (although one that should click with some people here, I gues - jokes on gas chambers anyone?).

Wait, didn't You mention they were German? I thought the above goes without saying?

Germany best joke was Nazism. So yeah, nothing to laught at it.
