So, we've got a review copy from Illwinter. Is anyone interested in writing a review?

The code is for a Desura copy.

I would love to play it, and try a review, but some are probably much better qualified. So instead I will just be jealous of whoever first steps up to the plate. :salute:

Thats harder to review than the usual popamole games we are fed every day.I already played dozens of hours on it but you can only get the full experience by playing this multi , a prestigious codex online session is mandatory before any reviews i think .

Or you can play dom3 and base the review on that since literally nothing changed.

Well I never properly played Dominions, thus a few days playing and doing review might be doable. In addition, pirates still didn't cracked it, and another advantage would be I'd be able try multiplayer as well.

Well it wasn't back when I wanted to try it a few years back. Not that I regret buying it.

Regarding that prestigious session, confirmed players:
- Mortmal (possibly * 2)
- Chef_Hathaway
- JohnTherevelator

Eight players would be nice to have on a smallish medium map. There is also the possibility to turn this into some LP/review, so get your monocles together and join in!

I don't think Dominions 3 was EVER cracked. Probably because its so niche.

It wasn't cracked per say, but there was at least one keygen that I knew of.

I never used it, because their copy protection made it so that after so many turns you had to replace the key or stuff started happening in/to your game, iirc.

Also, it was never updated for patches, yet still worked with them, albeit much more unstably, as you had to replace the key every few turns.

Does Desure bite? I looked into that, and the review would be: And 4th installment brought graphics improvements, along with many fixes that should be part of D3 already.

I'll play a Codex game, sure. Whatever era.

I can also write a review during next week, Whisky, if you want - though it'd be through the eyes of a hardened Dom3 player, focused on reviewing the exact changes between the titles and maybe not that relevant for a new player for the most of it. But very critikal and kodexian, there's a hundred casual reviews elsewhere (and haven't written a full game review ever before). Though I have the game already so don't need that extra key.

Sure, that'd be great. Thanks for stepping up!

Thats what we need, anyway new players can still read old reviews of dominion(1-2-3) if they are really interested . What is interisting for us is to know more about the new mechanisms, like how do you play efficiently a blood nation now, wich nation were rebalanced etc..

Ok, let's get this rolling. I never played on the Llamaserver, could one of you set it up? I vote for Early Age and like to play Yomi.

I'd like to get this game started. As soon as 2 more post their EA nations we lock them in and talk about win conditions. I'd say Streamlands is a good map for this small number of players. If more sign up before we start up they are welcome to maximum of nine players.
