Watching the VP Secret games from yesterday, what the fuck is up with Puppey drafting no counters to Storm for game 3?
S4 played really well in game 2 but just broke down in game 3. He did nothing, hesitated a lot, bad blinks, no scythe initiations...

S4 has been drafting for quite some time now, with input from the others (mostly puppey and kuro).
Secret is suffering from having won every major tournament since starladder, and feeling like the competition wasn't worth their attention. Secret won the last 3 major lans against the best teams in the world by simply ignoring what the other teams put up and playing their own style instead. This quote puts it pretty nicely: "The problem with Secret is that they don't respect their opponents. They don't draft stuns or disables because they think it's not necessary. They don't draft anything for the late game because they assume they will stomp it before then. They play as if they're playing against a pub team." This approach worked up until nowbut they haven't been able to adapt after the other teams started to figure out this obvious flaw.
When you prepare for an event of this magnitude, analyzing your opponents is very important. Analyzing yourself is even more important.
Vici gaming had a similar issue in the groupstages, except that they somehow managed to pull it together and win every single game in the main-stage so far, even though some of their players still have games where they completely disappoint (ice³ brood comes to mind, or Haos Luna).

After watching the top 10 plays of yesterday, the Ehome v VG games were crazy good in team fights. Really want VG to go all the way.

Drow drafts are very risky, if she doesn't get a decent start she just gets rolled over. Plus no visage means reduced cheese, VP has no chance.
