Since the official forum rules spelled out by DarkUnderlord?
I have always interpreted that (not that it matters, but whatever) as prohibiting direct links, not talk about pirating games in general.

Yeah, it doesn't prohibit discussing piracy, i.e. whether piracy is a bane or a boon. It does prohibit advocating piracy though, just as it prohibits linking to it directly. This is a forced measure though which has to do with retarded companies that make it their bread (and butter) to take down/threaten any pro-piracy website, if I get this right. -- as an active member of the late UG community, I don't mind piracy myself.

Then again, I'm just following other people's reports here. If you want to know for sure, feel free to take it up with DU :P

You know what? Fuck you, you retarded piece of shit. As evdk said, it is OK to being negative, but you come off as a "I want to look hardcore, edgy and super critical, because I'm a true Codexain" type of somebody. Yeah, you hate the game already, you think it will be a piece of shit, but you will pirate it, probably play it. And you will spread it on FTP? May I ask why? What is the reason? Do you want to hurt Double Fine financially? Ok, they are not making a game to your liking. There are games that I think are bad, but do you know what would I look like, if I'd send these games to my friends? Like an idiot. And guess who wants to do the same thing? God, you are a newfag, but you are pissing me off more than Skyway and Volourn combined. At least they don't want to look edgy, and have meaningful things to say (once in a while). Fuck, now I'm butthurt because of this faggot.

Jesus Christ (J_C), get over your fetish for this fucking company.
You can talk whatever you want about me, but if you don't see that this guy is an edgy, hardcore wannabe faggot, then you are blind. This "i hate the game but I will pirate it and put it on FTP for all my friends" just made my piss boil. Especially after admitting that he talked out of his ass (and thus basicly admitting that he just tries to be edgy).
First day on the kodex?

I consider you two polar opposites that cancel each other out. Hopefully the universe doesn't implode upon your collision.

No thank you, I do not feel like fueling DU's joyless mirth.

I mean what kind of a sad prick goes around reporting people? And on rpgcodex, no less? o_O

I'm pretty sure many people do it for the lulz, actually, or out of boredom.

Still, if someone who actually breaks the rules gets reported, we Codex admins have to issue a warning, at least. Not that a warning actually leads to anything in most cases, though :P

??

Sorry, I guess I'm too drunk to get what you mean. What bragging? On the part of the admins or on the part of those who get reported?

No bragging on the part of the admins, I assure you. Just routine.

And new update is up:

Hey Everyone,
The love keeps coming in for MASSIVE CHALICE which is phenomenal -thank you so much again! The more money we can raise the deeper we can take the MASSIVE CHALICE experience! We’ve got some great things lined up for you guys including a livestream of Brad playing XCOM: Enemy Unknown TODAY!
$100 Tier Update

So, you might have noticed that we updated our $100 donation tier to include international shipping charges. This is because now you can get a physical copy of the game at $100 with the addition of the $75 tier.
If you backed the $100 tier before the international shipping was added you'll still get the boxed copy of MASSIVE CHALICE. If you'd like to contribute to shipping, which will free more of your contribution to go into the game, you can either change to the new $100 tier that has international shipping included, or add your contribution to your pledge. Either way, thanks for backing!
XCOM Live Stream

Hey everyone! Brad and John will be playing XCOM: Enemy Unknown live, today at 4 PST! http://www.twitch.tv/doublefine
We’ll be talking about why XCOM is one of the key inspirations for MASSIVE CHALICE. We are also going to take plenty of questions from the chat about our current design direction. And If you can’t make the live stream you can always watch the cached video on our page! :D!
Press

There have been some great articles written about MASSIVE CHALICE that not only feature Brad’s sparkling mug but also some deeper information about the game’s design! Check out the articles here:

Backers have asked us for ways to show their support on the internet. The team has come up with some awesome MASSIVE CHALICE forum avatars and desktop background images. Check them out below and share the MASSIVE CHALICE LOVE!

For Fucks Sake!!!!! This is even shittier than the previous one. I want this game. I want DF to make this game! But I can't believe how bad this kickstarter starts. This is not an update. This is nothing. Talk to us about the game goddamit! And Brad plays X-Com? The new one? Great, maybe the newfags will like it.

Eh it is clear to me now, that DF wants to attract the mainstream audiance with this KS, and not the oldschool one. Too bad those guys won't donate as much as the oldschool guys.

There is another thing that came to my mind. DF probably just wants to get some additional funding for Broken Age with this. And from the profit of that game, they will actually fund Massive Chalice.

If the updates are so shitty... stop posting them?
Why improve when you can just give up... and probably still get like $1.5M?
They're playing X-Com now. It's the newfag version :decline:
Why talk about your game, when you can play a cover-based tactical game with guns, that somehow "shows" what you want to do with a fantasy tactical game with breeding...

They are funded already, so they have nothing to lose and obviously the money is going to be pouring in regardless.
And we need something to laugh at and validate our loathing for this blatant cash grab.

XCOM. It's XCOM
