BioWare trannies went after MattyP and he has responded
I think it goes without saying, but today has been an extremely hard day. I really appreciate your patience as I looked into things.First off, I would like to apologize to everyone at BioWare and EA. I have already reached out to them to let them know the truth. We already have plans to sit down and have a conversation about it. That is my gameplay. It was never my intention for clips of Dragon Age to get released ahead of the embargo lifting. I had shared these two clips of the game with an editor of mine. It is to my understanding that these clips were then taken, shared again, and went down the chain to someone far removed from the both of us who then posted them claiming to be associated with me. So, yes, the clips are mine. If BioWare, EA, or any other game company chooses to not work with me over this, then I fully understand and accept that. If you, the viewers of my content, choose not to trust me because you deem me irresponsible with the privilege I was given as a game reviewer, I also fully understand and accept that. With that said, it’s extremely important for me to firmly shut down one element of this narrative going around about me. Whoever shared these clips on X with the attached hateful comments and replies is NOT me. I have no clue who runs that account. They are most definitely not my friend and they stand against everything I believe in. I am only speculating, but I think whoever took my game footage and tweeted it as if they were connected with me was quite deliberate as it’s an easy way to paint me in a bad light. Beyond any guesses I may have, I would never leak my own footage on an alt account and then use that exact same footage in my review. Said account no longer exists and it is my understanding that it is because it was reported multiple times following the public ridicule it rightfully received. There's no room for that type of hate.It also needs to be said that I have not deleted any comments on my review. I believe as a consumer of media, you have a right to call someone out on bullshit or say what you feel. I do have preset words for my channel filters that fall under racist, homophobic, etc. terms that automatically get caught by YouTube’s moderation system, but that’s it. I know I can’t convince each and every one of you, but I do think you all deserve an explanation. At the end of the day, my circle of trust was breached and it was my fault for sending a clip in the first place.I’m deeply disheartened by the amount of people who believed that this Twitter account was me. I don’t expect blind loyalty yet it hurts to see just how quickly I was thrown under the bus. The sad reality of it all is the damage is done and many people have made up their minds about me today.Since I have started covering this game, many angry opinions have fallen in my lap. When I played the preview, I thoroughly enjoyed it and had a chance to interview the game’s director, Corinne Busche. On that video, people were sending hate my way because they wanted their opinions heard. Now, I have put out my honest and objective review and people are still unhappy with my personal opinion. It has always been my goal to deliver fair, honest coverage of video games and elevate the conversation, not fan the flames. I’m deeply sad that my clips have played into the detraction of a game that, as stated in my review, others may enjoy more than me. Looking at the OpenCritic score, I’m glad to see it is that way. It’s been a tough cycle for the folks at BioWare and to know I played a part in the pain of the developer who made my favorite games ever is a regret that I don’t think I will ever live down, even if people choose to forgive me.I want to thank my wife, my best friends, and my LSM family who hung with me and didn’t lose faith in me. The statements made about my character today have broken my heart into a million pieces. I don’t say that so you feel bad for me, I just feel it’s important to give my love to those who willingly stood by me in the face of all this. I know it wasn’t easy having your ethics in question just by being in my vicinity.Lastly, I am not going anywhere. I will be continuing to make content about games across MrMattyPlays, Retro Rebound, and Defining Duke. I will also continue to pretend I know what I’m talking about when it comes to movies on Retro Rewind. Hopefully, I will see you there. If not, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you have a good rest of your day.Stay sexy, stay active,Matty

You can choose an ultra-based, old skool RPG with Denuvo crammed in by a retarded publisher....Safeguarded by Denuvo(tm)!Ah, yes. Kingdom Come 2: Revenge of Chuds. Cumming soon all over this retarded industry
...or a Denuvo-less video game equivalent of a university safe room stocked with plush toys, hot chocolate and vegan ice cream.
Discuss!
Can you really imagine a melee combatant being expected to engage in combat at range without throwing away their shield? What would we name such a mythical technology, javelin?Back on topic: Those Veilguard videos are lmao-tier. I can't believe that the primary warrior mechanic is shield throwing. What estrogen-and-dutasteride-addled genius came up with that idea, and have they ever held a shield? Do they understand that shields are not boomerangs? I get that the devs wanted to prioritize ranged combat, but in that case why not nudge warriors in the direction of carrying a bow or crossbow? Or fuck it, just give them a gooddamn boomerang, like the Legend of Zelda did ~40 years ago. Surely they could even come up with a compelling lore reason for it.
Yeah, there are a few dozen different ways to handle it, and any of them would have been much better. Small crossbow, sling, dart, javelin, small grenade, even rock. (A favorite of castle defenders, and available everywhere.)
Instead we get muh hecking Captain America shield throw.
This is insultingly stupid. They quite literally picked the worst path available to them. Therefore, as a man who plays white human male warriors exclusively, I will not bother with this game.

BG1 characters had about as much personality and reactions to anything as customs (that is, almost zero), yet none of the advantages of those. Most didn't even have a well defined motivation to waste their time traversing the regional bushes with the protagonist, basically dolls. That's fine for a purely tactical game, but certainly not an rpg.A portrait, a voice, a biography, a reason for being where they are, people they like and people they hate (and people they like to make fun of) and enough replacements to let you actually enjoy the repercussions of people getting killed. Perfect.
If you want to have a large cast, I think Jagged Alliance did it better. All good parts had characters which still felt as characters and not just portraits with stats.
There are also nice but rarely used tricks to give personalities to custom characters, by clever stats triggers in dialogs & scenes, especially the negative traits. Realms of Arkania 3 did it, also Expedition Conquistador (sadly went for a shorter cast in later games).
It's real sadly. These characters sound like they just walked out of a Starbucks in California rather than being in a fantasy setting hunting a dragon.

OK so this took a bit of investigation but apparently Matty is referring to some leaked footage that was under NDA that had accompanying commentary that used racial slurs, and people thought it was Matty so he got cancelled or something? But it turns out it wasn't him, it was someone who got hold of his footage.
How anyone could believe fucking MattyPlays of all people could be a closet racist is beyond me, but this fucking grovelling apology to EA/BioWare is beyond pathetic, dude is trying so hard to offer up his asshole to EA's corporate dick in an attempt to not lose journalist access, jesus fucking christ grow a backbone
Gays are disgusting degenerates too. Don’t forget that. These niggas were so horny that they refused to turn the lights on in bath houses in the 80s to check their partners for AIDS sores. Because it would get in the way of all the sweet fucking and sucking.I sent screenshots from this thread to a real life gay
We're getting photorealistic looking trannies too now? I can't contain my excitement any longer guys!Unlike Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which hits shops later this week, Mass Effect 5 will not seek to tweak the sci-fi franchise's established visual style, he said.
"Mass Effect is photorealistic and will be as long as I'm running it," Gamble wrote in a post on X.
"Both are from the studio, but Mass Effect is Mass Effect. How you bring a sci-fi RPG to life is different than other genres or IPs," he continued, "and has to have different kinds of love."
As for Mass Effect 5's tone, Gamble wrote it would "maintain the mature tone of the original Trilogy. This is all I'm going to say for now."

Is that a real episode? It looks like a joke the cast threw together during downtime lmao
Woke up today to find out Mortismal deleted a bunch of critical comments under his video - most VERY mild from what I was yesterday.
Man, what a fall from grace.
Hercules was far less serious than Xena. That kind of Aphrodite vs Nemesis cat fights is right up the series' alley.
Pretty sure this is the first time he’s gotten such a negative reaction to a video and he doesn’t know how to handle it.Woke up today to find out Mortismal deleted a bunch of critical comments under his video - most VERY mild from what I was yesterday.

The ones I upvoted are largely still there ... but boy he's sounding weirdly defensive and passive-aggressive down in the comments. Not really jiving with the generally chill vibe he normally gives off. I'm thinking that maybe the dislikes or critical comments are getting to him. Never seen anything quite like it.
This whole dramawave is quite the popcorn popper.

I wouldnt put much stock in what Mike Gamble says, like John Epler and Corinne Busche in Dragon Age team he doesnt have the required experience or the talent to be the director of a game and only got the job because Bioware literally couldnt find anyone else, again like John Epler and Corinne Busche. He was only responsible for monetization in Mass Effect games(like selling alternate skins for characters for 2-3 dollars like horse armor), not anything creative. He is also the person responsible for censoring Miranda's ass and putting lens flare at everywhere in Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
Yeah, that too.Woke up today to find out Mortismal deleted a bunch of critical comments under his video - most VERY mild from what I was yesterday.

Only cockroaches are afraid of being exposed to the light, mr. Schreier.Schreier got extremely butthurt when he saw a reviewer mentioning Sweet Baby Inc. Dualshockers already scrubbed it from their review.
