Yes. If you read the dialogue options you get a -50 modifier to Int stat. This is very important if you want to min max the stat spread of your troon.

I liked DA:O on launch - it was a good game back when not many games could be considered good - but not only I haven't bought but I did not even PLAY any other iterations of this franchise. Reading about copy pasted dungeons and environments of DA2, then about MMO-ization (and agenda) of DA:I and now about this abomination just proves that once rot sets in, it can only get worse.

I truly don't understand people playing such games. I guess I'm just too old.
