This shit is so...uninspiring. I will complete it, eventually, on a story difficulty, because enduring it on normal is an insult to the concept of computer gaming, but at some point I got so tired from crappy writing and mobile one-button-smashing that I switched to playing Battle Brothers.
Or you can just you know.. not buy shit..

Aren't most Biodrones buying/playing their games on their own shitty launcher tho? Origin or smth?
is origin even still around?
It is not. Was replaced by EA App, which like GOG Galaxy, has spent a few years "in development".

One of the main pulls for Veilguard was that it wasn't going to be tied to having an EA account and running the EA App in the background, like other EA games (including everything Bioware). It doesn't even have Denuvo.

Hmmm... It capture the spirit of BarveWare, but I'm not sure it has many uses as a troll emoticon.

It's cool and all but you can't have Barve without the pushups. Can you maybe take the dude from :negative: and:positive: and get him to do some pushups? Come to think of it :negative: already looks like he's pulling a barve. The 'dex sages of old foresaw it.

BG3 was total crap besides graphics and combat

BG3 was total crap besides graphics and combat

Nobody gives a shit about voice actors in marketing. Games succeed or not because of the quality of gameplay
BG3 had such a huge success only because they promoted it as a light-hearted adventure with focus on romance and characters.

These are the 4 most popular videos on the Larian YT channel. There's about two seconds of combat in the launch trailer and it's not shown from the isometric perspective with UI, it's just a zoom in on a "cool" spell.

Real footage of combat appears for the first time in their sixth most popular BG3 video. The preceeding 5 are all focused solely on the story and characters.

Out of the 20 most popular BG3 videos released by Larian, 18 do not show combat gameplay.

Next they should hire a bunch of dirt poor africans or indians or something to play the game for pennies per hour. That would boost the numbers - it's called player outsourcing.

They could give me a code and put it on my steam account. Then, after 3 days of downloading I'd be able to play it.

Yesterday I saw some chick streamer struggling with a boss of the game. It seems like the game has the same shitty "Red skull" system from other modern action rpgs like Witcher 3, where enemies above certain level became health and dmg sponges and are almost invincible. The girl managed to defeat it, and the reward was a big amount of fuckin nothing. You could see the disappointment (And stress) of the overall situation in her face. It was a nice showcase of how bad the combat system actually is, because your allies do absolutely nothing and also stunning the boss is meaningless because you can't truly punish them, they get up inmediately after a hit.

Watched several old DA:O videos like Leliana's song and companion banter and the newest comments are from the fans trashing Veilguard and grieving the end of DA.

The combat is a one button mashing clickfest, which ties in perfectly to the narrative design. And whenever you kill something that troon Neve voice goes: this one goes to Rook!
At this point i'm fairly certain that a group of drooling imbeciles would come up with a better game design and orders of magnitude better writing.

The super mainstream 'tubers are getting their turn now, like gameranx and dunkey.

Imagine getting dunked on by dunkey.

84k. Very close to DOS2.
They're doing twitch giveaways too:

So that's on top of of the Nividia bundle, Geforce Now, and this:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1845910/discussions/0/4757578733050039376/

^this thread had about 10-20 something free giveaways.

Another on Reddit too:
https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonage/comments/1gf5cpd/im_giving_away_two_copies_of_dragon_age_the/

I got the game for free from that specific user(jusenkyo7) through his reddit giveaway months ago who claims to be a fan and not an employee of EA. Even though he specified game can not be gifted on any other platform in his thread, for some weird reason I totally cant explain he gave me a cdkey instead of gifting the game. Months before game was released. I wonder how a fan managed to do that. I made sure to thank him with my negative review on Steam, hoping it gets him in trouble(which probably wont).

From what I managed to gather so far, the overall story of the dragon age world is as follows:

It's not clear where the humans and qunari came from, but I havent seen everything. Probay more about Titans and dwarves. There's nothing definite about the Maker and Chantry scripture in the game

Post credits imply that Executors, some power from across the ocean, orchestrated the events from Origins onward for at least a thousand+ years . They were mentioned briefly in Da2 and Dai, now they return or some shit.

Executors are evil conservatives coming to destroy Thedas because it got infested with non-binary folx. Jokes aside, they could be related to other group of elven gods in the lore, but the more likely option would be original humans doing their own things at the northern half of the world. Also they had a chance to tie Maker into this story through Andraste(circumstances of her birth specifically) but they didnt acknowledge Morrigan's son, I guess they want to completely ignore the fantasy Christians of the series.

I would say it sucks that whatever those Executors are will be handled by the current writers, but I highly doubt Vileguard will sell enough to satisfy EA and let series continue in any capacity.
Wait, so their great idea of expanding and continuing the original DA lore, is to just randomly add Reapers from ME to it and call it a day? These people get paid big bucks for it?

Fuck it, maybe I should pick my pronouns, dye my hair pink and become a video game writer.

Setting is(or rather was) ripe for expansion, all the games and all of the backstory so far have been contained to the one specific continent on the southern hemisphere of the world with no information about the rest. But now if the series ever continues, we will unfortunately witness the full extent of Patrick Weekes' mentally ill mind.
