Oh God, they didn't properly sculpt the muscles. I can't even!

Spent another thirty to forty minutes editing the arisen in the free character creator (last "played" in March), which amounted to nothing as I then looked at other people's and saw more interesting faces. No getting around the neck that becomes bigger higher up, however. Like some animal.
Now try making a character in the Street Fighter 6 demo.

You know, the saddest part of all this is that we once again got robbed of content that was supposed to be a thing in Dragons Dogma 1. Some guy was able to access the developer console of DD2 and found entries for a MP mode that was called
  • "Multiplayer Mode - 'Tower of the New Moon'"

Rumors are that it was supposed to be an endless dungeon where you could coop with actual players. This fucking series is cursed man.

This game was a love-letter to no one, which in unusual for recent Capcom games, which are usually oozing reverence and love for everything that came before.

I wonder what Itsuno is going to do now that's he's essentially taken the money and run.

The muscles in these character creators are always shitty, too. Same as in Dark Souls: textures. You can't make muscles with textures, you have to sculpt them. Again, the creators all suck ass. So few exceptions that it BARELY depends. Just let me find dev-made characters in the world and make my party. Would have more interesting conversations in the field and towns.

Pick a premade and put on a shirt. Who gives a shit?
My go-to:

Pick the normalest looking white dude
Slap a full beard on him
Change hair and beard color to black, eye color to blue

Done.

Did he do that or was he pushed out of the company?

Capcom's been going full in with the pandering and creepy worship of DEI/ESG. Even partnering up with autogynephile ex-porn stars for English voice acting and promotions. I wouldn't be surprised if Itsuno saw the writing on the wall, had his vision interfered with and left.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to allow more subversion to creep in and I can't imagine the next Resident Evil or Devil May Cry game being any different. They already race swapped a character in Devil May Cry 5 after all.

That being said, I did enjoy Dragon's Dogma 2 for what it was. An expansion akin to Bitterblack Isle would be wonderful but I'm not holding my breath.

I doubt he got pushed out. If he was pushed out, landing as the head of a newly formed studio sure seems like luck. He was probably poached by LightSpeed Studio.

He landed at a newly formed studio at a time when it was reported that the Chinese are sick and tired of the Japanese devs' incompetence and want to invest more in their domestic devs. It's not a good look for him.

This is overrated. The combat is awful, the gameplay middle to bad, the character system is alright but meaningless. The writing is laughable.

Look at me beating 'tough' enemies with one button.

The pawn system is the only legit top fun thing in the whole series yet even that could be better.

Playable but ugh... overrated as fuck.

Not everything can be as wonderful as Neverwinter Nights.

Oh yeah. Sometimes you can beat the toughest enemies without pressing any buttons there.

Curious how many people noticed this without being told.

Too bad they decided to add in some cat king founder that kind of undermines the connection.

Why is he found in Gran Soren then if he would have came around much later?
Gran Soren is currentely located on the Volcanic Island
A location that we don't much about - but in general we don't know much about the new additions to the lore like the Pathfinder, the Great Will and the changes to the Brine
All we know is that Rothais became bored with his duty as Seneschal, so he came down to Earth and this somehow broke the cycle

Also the cat race doesn't conflict with the lore established in the first game
The Seneschal might not be absolutely omnipotent, but we know he has complete dominion over life and a great deal of control over reality

I'm pretty sure Gran Soren is under the ocean near the village with the undersea cave.

Cassardis should be around where the Volcanic Island is geographically.

I'm pretty sure the excavation camp where you start DD2 is in around the same location as the start of DD.

I also think the tower on volcanic island is around the location that Selene's hut/Witch Wood was in DD.

Did you see the video I posted with the comparison? Gran Soren is the place where we find Rothais.

If Gran Soren is the Sea floor shrine then there are a couple places in this game that match the first. Ancient battle ground matches where you fight the dragon in #1. The southern ruins south of Vernsworth matches the blue moon tower from #1. Undersea shrine matches Gran Soren. Based off of this, the volcanic island would be around Cassardis.

I'd have to go back to DD2 to refresh my memory, but aren't you guys essentially talking about the same thing? The video you posted is from the end of the game after the sea is gone and all the shit under there with the brine is now exposed to run around in.

No. He's saying Gran Soren is located in the blue on the volcanic island, I'm saying Gran Soren and Rathais are located together, in the red at the sea floor shrine.
