Too many unattackable, unkillable enemies. You can't even provoke them to attack you.
This is its greatest sin imo

I didn't want to beat up the entire map like I did in Gothic but even so, the amount of people you can even hit is ridiculous.

Boris, his henchmen who attacked me (who I later found in a cave), some asshole merchant who didn't pay me after I escorted him and the guard in the hewer silver cave all deserved a good beating but I couldn't. They do the worst possible thing where the person isn't even an entity and your swing goes through them.
Unkillable? Yes. Unattackable? Erm, I was able to attack everybody. Here's Jimmy

And the merchant you speak about (escort from Nemeton?), I kicked his ass after escort and took his money.
Wtf? Is my game glitched? My attacks were like attacking air nothing connecting. I'm gonna relaunch and test again.
Aim at target (red swords), Hold attack until the gauge fills up, you enter combat with the target. Unintuitive, yes.

I was enjoying the game but in chapter 3 I get game breaking bugs when going to forest with NPCs getting stuck on the environment or just stopping following the party to the forest, and where cutscene plays with your 'spark' allowing them to cross then none of them crosses.

:negative:

Unlucky then. I finished the game (32h, Nemeton) and had literally 0 bugs or crashes. No issues.

You can literally beat up the nemeton merchant that dont pay you. I did it 3 times. you CAN beat up boris. as far as i know you can beat up almost anyone in this game. here is the proof:

you cannot kill named people unless it's part of quest or story but you definitely can start a fight with anyone

sometimes the combat initiation button is wonky though.

Those swords meant nothing for me - from a previous comment it looks like I'd have to full charge a hit to initiate, which makes more sense, because I got frustrated and was spamming left click on them and nothing ever happened.

Some NPCs are unattackable. Mostly some guards just for stoping you to enter some quest area, like the guard in Pits outer area.
Well, makes sense. They would need to make so many checks for quests to work. Otherwise you can beat almost everybody.

You hover over the person you wanna fuck up until they turn red, then hold click and a bar will fill up and fight will ensue.

Men, Vortex Mask fight was something else. I gave my everything and passed it after 40 minutes.

2 golems and 30+ draugr, even coming in waves was too much to handle. Thunderstorm and Blaze saved the day.

I cannot stop thinking about the game.

96% positive ratings out of 1515 total reviews atm

for comparison:

Underrail has 87% positive ratings out of 5387 reviews

The Age of Decadence has 82% positive ratings out of 3201 reviews

Colony Ship has 87% positive ratings out of 2481 reviews <-- one year old in 1 month

Gothic has 91% positive ratings out of 10421 reviews

Archolos has 98% positive ratings out of 14973 reviews

Kenshi has 95% positive ratings out of 75109 reviews <-- this is a fucking juggernaut

Ghost of a Tale has 91% positive ratings out of 3697 reviews

Hyper Light Drifter has 93% positive ratings out of 13776 reviews

I think this game will end up with like 3k+ reviews but I don't think it will be able to keep the 96% positive ratio.

I think it will get even bigger, it's spreading really far thanks to Gothic fans absolutely loving it. But once more normies hear about it and try it, the negative reviews will quickly start appearing. I already saw people crying on steam that the game is awfully designed because impossible to kill enemies are placed in noob areas and your character doesnt deal any damage.

Crows Feet is an absolute blast of a trap.

1. Reliable bleeding trigger.
2. Cheap to produce.
3. It stays armed even after enemy stepped on it several times.
4. Even after all of this, you can still disassemble it back to your inventory.

Best use so far - charging Harpies. Before trying out this trap, I considered them a difficult semi-boss.
With two of these traps armed, I just danced around the Harpies close enough so that they spammed those (well-telegraphed) charge attacks instead of the feather throws, and they kept tripping over the traps repeatedly.
An occasional Execute (extra damage per bleeding) sealed the enemy’s doom.

I enjoyed the game for the most part, but I'm getting bored late game with all these dungeons/caves with constant combat and tedious puzzles. I'm not even sure I want to finish it at this point.

Which dungeons? Late game is so easy because you should be OP, the last 2 dungeons in the game took me less than 2 hours combined. They did better than Gothic, those last dungeons were pain.

These ruins n shiet, nevermind.

That said, it was a very enjoyable game until that.

This game by just being decent might be the best RPG of the year :M

As far as I know there's only 2? mandatory dungeons.

The library which was a bit bigger but should take ~1h to full clear including optional stuff while the red tower was just 5 rooms total with quick fights in each.

They were anything but slogs tbh
