I never felt like I was doing much roleplaying in ds1-3 tbh. You don't really get to interact with the world very meaningfully except by slaughtering everything you see that doesn't sell you stuff. The ending choice is the only time I feel like I'm making a decision that has weight

Maybe iv just been playing these games for too long to get immersed anymore tho. These days I play dark souls as a boss rush game basically

You're a newfag so might as well bother explaining myself. When I said DS II does "RPG" part best I meant the character build sperging, not some "choices and consequences" or "immersion" fluff. To many of us making different character builds is what RPGs are really about, and DSII provides best variety in that regard.

Bah, nothing beats the feeling of getting a great game and playing it late into the night despite having to go to work the next day. Taking a week off sounds like something a Nintendo fag would do.

I still had vacation days over from last year so I took a week off that coincided with a "vacation" week from the education I have alongside my job. It happened to coincide with when Elden Ring comes out.

If anyone wants to pre-order Green Man Gaming has the cheapest price. The game is currently 18% off, and you can use the code 06QVP3-V01NKP-K2707M for a further discount. It ends up around $44.

Miyazaki just shot himself in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about poison swamp culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Skyrim where you can become successful by being a casul. If you screw someone over in Rat King bros, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the poison swamp public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Elden Ring for either system, nor will they purchase any of From's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Miyazaki has alienated an entire market with this move.

Miyazaki, publicly apologize and cancel Bloodborne II for PC or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Imagine how funny it'll be if the sheer influx of Elden Ring players causes Steam to crash and not work over the weekend.
Lost Ark didn't, so why would Elden Ring? I do hope ER gets more players than Lost Ark, but I doubt it.
