Just out of curiosity, who ITT found these on their own, without the wiki:
- Haligtree medaillon
- Moghwyn Palace
- the Leyndell sewers proper
- Three Fingers sanctum
- the secret boss in Azula
- Jarburg
- figured out the entire Ranni's quest
haligtree medallion locations are told by npcs with almost exact directions
moghwyn portal seems missable but you do get invaded by a blood dude in its vicinity
sewers I missed most of it until dung-eater called me there.
Yura sent me to three-fingers but couldnt find the sanctum itself. Also platforming there (and everywhere) is bullshit.
jarburg is out in open?
So is ranni's quest almost every step is spelled out for you by some npc or other.

I'm after the fight with Fire Giant and first Dragon in Azula. Camera during battles with big enemies is work of a fucking sadist. As much as I like the game, this was bad.

I found the shardbearer Mohg legit, but I never found his easier counterpart in the sewers and it seems I'm not the only one seeing how the harder boss has a higher % of people who did it in the achievement stats than Mogh the Omen.

That's probably a holdover from players doing the (now fixed) Mohg explolit to get a big early rune bump.

its near divine tower of liurnia, far away from volcano.

I know I still found it while searching for ways forward. You can jump down from up via the gravestone things in the wall. Is it used for something?

Knewl, just killed Gopnik the Drafted:

Didn't practice second stage all that much but whatever, he dead anyway.

Compared to you guys i'm moving through the game at a glacial pace but there you have it. Soon i'll reach the meme bosses and we'll see what's gonna happen with them.

Made me keen to play Bloodborne. Would love a PC port of that game to help understand why it’s combat design has been so influential on From’s subsequent output.

BB is a step back compared to Des/DaS1/DaS2 but it catapulted From Software's renown to new heights thanks to Sony's desperate marketing and PS retards fanbois.

All that success was grossly misinterpreted by From Software which now it's a victim of its own success: they want to cater to the BB "fanbase".

The sad reality is that most of the retarded shit plaguing DaS3 and ER can be traced back to Bloodborne.

Bloodborne is a vastly superior game to ER, it's not even close. Mechanically it's simpler, but area and encounter design, thematic cohesion and bosses are so much better. Even the soundtrack is orders of magnitude better.

I understand what you're saying re: trying to shoehorn Bloodborne's faster paced combat into everything without that game's more effective tools like parrying from range and recovering health from hits, but that's only part of the problem with contemporary From games.

Encountered my first necromancers, having all the skellies go down the moment you kill one is a bit odd. Also accidentally uncovered a plot regarding deicide and making knives out of Death itself (capital intentional, don't know why yet).

I thought it was gonna be two old crones. In fact, i thought the old woman you speak to when you enter was one of them, so when i turned around to check the other one i saw the actual two fingers lul.

The character is also faster. Dash > dodge.

if they wanted that they could have always done another bloodborne game, what we got instead is knight fantasy with retarded bosses (which werent an issue in BB regardless of how much people cry about that game.

I found both legit but the impact of Omen was much higher because I fought him first - it's too bad because the main Mohg fight is a lot cooler, with a better setup. Mohgwyn Palace is one of the worst areas in the game, though. So bad.

Random, layman question: why are you constantly, to the point of exclusivity, fighting basketball players in these newer games? "Player is a normal-sized humanoid, but there are humanoid enemies of various shapes and sizes" was very much a thing in DeS and DS1 (the only games in the series I've really played and enjoyed), but it was used rather sparingly and to a pretty good effect. Now it seems like every random undead boi is a stretched out spehs marine or a lanky 2.5m drug addict. What gives?

It's easier to notice the movements of a bigger silhouette.

Also I'm pretty sure that Morgott has in phase two a 14 attack combo. I counted till 8 but he went on and did around 5 extra attacks, helicopter style. Bosses like this deserve nothing but the scummiest cheese available at that point in time. What an absolute trash design.

This is hilarious. I get flashbacks from when I was counting the Dancer's combos in DaS3 :D

3 out of 7. The Ranni quest is much shorter than you think.
