Man, those Bell Bearer Hunter bosses are a pain in the arse. I killed the first one without too much trouble, but the ones after are designed like bitches. Bitch amount of hitpoints and poise + bitch damage + bitch move-set + nearly infinite stamina.

And down went Placidusax and Godfrey with the help of my trusty Lhutel the Headless (she doesn't do much damage and loses aggro quite frequently, so I don't feel too bad summoning her), got Elden Beast down to about 10% on the third try, but alas it was not be for tonight. The first two weren't as bad as Malenia, but the fatigue has definitely settled in. Not fatigue due to how large the world is mind you, but fatigue from one end-game blender after another, all having hard as nail movesets that all have sliiiightly different delays on their attacks than the other. I'll have to write down some stuff about it all once I've finished the game.

I've definitely given up on soloing the bosses, the're just way too fast for a mere mortal like me. But I still refuse to switch to a bleed build with this character, that'll wait for Samurai Jim-Bob.

I have not summoned a single assistant yet, but I am still fighting early/mid level bosses.

Anybody have issues with guard counter sometimes not working, using PC controls? Sometimes I will press Shift + LMB right after a block, and it does the weapon skill instead. My guess is some enemy attacks jam the shield, crossing the inputs, making the game think it's still Shift + RMB instead of Shift + LMB. Really annoying.

I have some idea, based on all the whining here and everywhere else. That's actually why I went with a blocking build, wanted to bypass the retarded dodging with that boss shitfest gallery coming up.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
in later game i just use mimic tear not because a boss is hard, but because "ah it's the same copy paste boss again with different element/1 new moveset, i just want it to get over quickly"

the game surely could afford to be smaller but denser.

Wow, these games are absolute trash on PC. I tried to kill the first dragon for my mom so she's not doomed to an eternity of washing dishes in ESO and all that other mind-numbing MMO crap. The mouse and keyboard are completely unwieldy, like impossibly so. I felt filthy afterwards. Like smoking meth in a trailer park filthy. I have lost all respect for PC gaymers.
Try plugging in a goddamn controller retardo. People that use m+k on games like this are odd ducks. Maybe they like carpal tunnal idk.

I say that lovingly.

Weird, I completed every soul's game on km+m without any problem

After trudging through Atlas Plateu, which made me get quite bored with the game, Leyndell was a very welcome change of pace. Excellent zone with great atmosphere and a great end boss (a reskin done very right). I spent several hours obsessively exploring every corner and I still haven't done the sewer part (no way am I going into a fucking sewer level while exploring a zone this pretty). Still disappointing that almost every single enemy I fought was not unique to the area. The only new things in Leyndell where the weird ball things with trumpets and amputee giants that puked gunpowder.

Now I'm sad because I finished it and I'm going to have to go back into the open world with its copypasted bullshit and empty fields, aren't I?

You probably do want to explore the sewers, it's quite a short zone and leads to another npc, two more zones and another boss. If you count lobsters, three more bosses lol.

I must admit, I found the zones immediately after Leyndell a bit of a downer as well. Persevere, and once you get to Haligtree/ Farum Azula it picks right up again. I may be in the minority but I really liked all the Haligtree. Some challenging fights (past the first area), and an interesting but not too confusing zone to explore. Heavy mob re-use though, so be ready for that. I did think that lore wise, all the mobs fitted in and weren't just plonked down anywhere. No Watchcat statues down there thankfully.

Haligtree is one of the best locations in the game!

Why would you play with anything but kbm? It controls perfectly. I never played anything with a controller. Then I discovered fighting games and everywhere online people were saying a controller is way better for them. I bought a controller and after a week of torture I threw it in the trash and went back to kbm. Using the analogue sticks is hell. Kbm is way easier and comfortable.

I bought Elden Ring. Turns out both my PS4 controllers have been ruined by being pissed on by a cat. The joysticks don't work any more. Now I need to replace them for the third or fourth time. This is getting expensive! He isn't even my cat he comes in my cat's cat door to steal her food!

Justice has been served. Last week I heard a vicious cat fight in my lounge. The cat that pissed on my controllers (an old grey tom) was in there beating the shit out of my small female cat. I shut the door, put on protective clothing, and caught him. I put the blighter in my shower and gave him a soaking in the hopes it will traumatize him so much he never comes back. After about 50 seconds to a minute of soaking he stopped running around trying to avoid the water and just sat there and cried. I felt too sorry for him so I let him leave, feeling extremely guilty for how I had treated this obviously pampered pet.

I'd been trying to catch this bastard cat for years and I finally did. What should have been a jubilant triumph was actually quite upsetting, leaving me a bit depressed and feeling like a big bully. I'll still do it again if he comes back.

I play kbm too but you are delusional if you think 45 degrees of direction of movement is same as 360

Due to popular demand, here it is:

Of course i had forgotten the Crucible Knight move set since the last time i fought him (way back in Limegrave) so that was shit lmao. He is also immune to bleed so took like a million years to kill.

BTW, at SL1 and or without bleed not sure if i could have done it. It's not so much having to fight both but the area is total shit with clutter everywhere.

On the several tries i did whenever i didn't kill the Misbegotten faggot fast enough i died only because of some fucking table or wooden shit was in the way. If i was on SL1 i'd definitely cheese it with ashes or spells no way i'm putting myself through that torture.

why do you take so long each fight.
surely you can employ weapon arts and spells a bit more liberally?

The whole point is to do the fight clean to show case the move sets and my old ass boomer roll-fu skillz. Cheesing them with spells wouldn't make it worth posting a video here. I tried and you can actually stunlock the Misbegotten Warrior with rotten breath until he dies. There wouldn't be a point to post that here.
