We'll see if FromSoft is going to be stupid enough to let their most lucrative franchise sink to the ground by inducing an excessive amount of Souls fatigue on people.
Nigger, they've spent two and a half years releasing Elden Ring's only expansion, and it's not even a particularly large area. A new Limgrave-sized level would be amazing, if it came out a year after ER and was expected to be the first in a series of similar-sized expansions. Instead, it's 2.5 years too late, too small for that wait, and the only one expected to ever be made.

If anything FS seems to be killing their golden goose.

The Limegrave size comment only applies to the map. It says nothing about the number of caves, subterranean levels and legacy dungeons in it.

I just hope they get done with it quick and move into AC6's DLC/expansion.

And then the next game.

I bet it will have precisely zero subterranean levels. Where did people get the idea that the shadow realm will have its own Eternal City or extensive underground? FromSoftsexuals high on their own supply, lol.

The base game was beyond massive it stands to reason the DLC will also be unusually large and the time it took them to make it supports that assumption.

Not sure where you are getting this notion they wasted 2.5 years fumbling their thumbs. When has that ever happened with FromSoft.

For the record, Limegrave itself has subterranean levels and a legacy dungeon.

I also thought that, then the Wakizaki interview came out and he made it clear they haven't developed an unusually large expansion, but a regular-sized one, and then said that this will probably be it for Elden Ring.

Doesn't mean the shadow realm will as well. I hope it does.

Dark Souls 3 is extremely slick and well produced, but is weakest exactly where Dark Souls 2 was strongest. Level design for instance was bland as fuck.
:nocountryforshitposters:

Cemetary of Ash -> Lothric Castle -> Undead Village -> Cathedral of the Deep -> Farron Keep -> Carthus Catacombs -> Demon Ruins -> Irithyl -> Irithyl Dungeon -> Anor Londo -> Archdragon Peak -> endgame.

I see a huge variety of environments there, most of them awe-inspiring.
What is shit and retarded about any of this? Are you people that spoiled? None of these locations look anything like each other. Ok, Anor Londo isn't an actual location in DS3, delete that. But everything else? Absolutely stunning selection of completely distinct environments with unique architectural styles for all of them. Does Dragonkin Mausoleum look anything like Irithyl? Can you possibly confuse the Undead village with the Cathedral?

Is this a joke? Dark Souls 3 was just a collection of areas from previous games and Bloodborne. They even ripped an area straight out of Dark Souls 2. That game is pure fan service crap.

Which area was from Bloodborne, niggerman?
Undead Settlement = Hemwick Charnel Lane

DS3 is a mixed bag. On one hand it has the best boss roster and some good levels like Irithyl and Cathedral of Deep. OTOH it has blatant fanservice, linear world and some awful levels like Farron Swamp, Crucifiction Woods and that half-baked Prophane Capital.

I consider it a net positive cause I like the lore and how it closes the series. But I can see someone not enamorated to that considering it the worst entry.

Didn't mind the swamp, but I can see why people would be annoyed by a huge and confusing area with poison and movement speed reduction.

Crucifiction Woods
Perfectly good area.

half-baked Prophane Capital
It's clearly unfinished, but what's there is really good.

OTOH it has blatant fanservice

Are you retarted? It's like the exact same textures, models, assets, tone, everything. It's ripped directly out of Bloodborne.
That's like saying Lothric Castle is the same as Undead Burg/Boletarian Castle, because they're all castle locations. That's dumb. You're dumb.

Hemwick Channel was also a fairly small and simple location, whereas Undead Village is much bigger and more convoluted, and has more internal variety.

No Crispy, it is the same fucking area. The whole thing screams "HEY DO YOU REMEMBER THIS KEWL PART IN BLOODBORNE??!!". Cursed village, crazy cultist types inhabiting it, witches and witch burning, all that shit. You're blind.

elden slop is even worse than DS3
Don't be ridiculous. Dark Souls 3 is a travesty. It's still better than most other games but by From Soft's standards it is a bastard child. You can tell Miyazaki's heart just wasn't in it and was ready to move on. It felt like he was forced to make the game at gunpoint. While making DS3 he was basically the protagonist from Stephen King's Misery. They probably had him tied to a bed and were threatening to hobble him with a hammer.

Considering how lazy they are, I don't expect them to upgrade the fps cap from 60 to 120 like in Armored Core or least add DLSS.

Most likely they'll just drop the DLC with a couple of small patches and that would be it.

This stuttering unoptimized piece of PC port should've been downvoted to zero like Arkham Knight until they fix it, but hey, it's From Software. They get a pass.

Yeah, it's definitely SDG. Cool it with your anti-DS3 remarks, and I'll keep it quiet from the admins.
