yes.
Well my preorder cancellation was ignored for a month and then ignored again when I filed an official ticket a week ago.
that is pretty shitty. they've apparently also ignored all questions about the founding member of the elite reward, which still isn't in.
What does it mean to be a ‘Founding member of “The Elite”‘?

“The Elite” are a secretive group of intrepid pilots. Throughout human space, there are a great many people that have been helped by “The Elite” over the years, and because of this “The Elite” are treated well, wherever they go. Whether it be discounts on buying special items or repairs, and the small number of founding members even greater benefits. Other benefits include a greater likelihood of being offered rare missions or opportunities. Membership is offered to pilots who have proven their ability by reaching “Elite” rating within the Pilot’s Federation, but the founding members are not put through such an indignity. All “The Elite” are entitled to display a special silver “Elite” emblem, and the founders a golden one with the word ‘Founder’ beneath it.

Hey bros, could someone help me find some slaves? I have to bring 2 of them to finish a mission, but I have no clue where to find some. I was thinking about visiting Empire ruled stations, since slavery is OK in the Empire.

i've only found Imperial Slaves in Empire systems, but iirc i've seen some regular Slaves in some Youkon or Yukon or something like that anarchy system (i think regular slaves are only sold there?)

btw, i'm currently milking a traderoute for ~27-28k round trip (10-12mins there and back), is this OK or should i find something better (22t cargo hauler)? holy shit is the early game boring when you have shitty ships/equipment...

you'll have better luck in independent systems with outposts where slaves aren't prohibited. that's where i found them before... though the prohibited goods list seems kinda of stupid, since shinrarta has prohibited personal weapons and that's one of its best export goods.

We've had this discussion before. Slaves are unregulated chattel that you will only ever find in Independent systems as Suicide Bunny said. Imperial Space has Imperial slaves which are heavily regulated and nobody seems to care about. :(

A nice thank you video from David:

:salute: Thank you too David. The game has shortcomings, but it is wonderful experience which will get even better.

Imperial Slaves are sweet loot too. Just tell yourself that you're saving them from floating in the void, and bringing them to a nice friendly anarcho trader. Anarch Merchant, you are my gradest ally.

Edit: Just evaded a player pirate in an Eagle with a cargo hold full of resonating separators. Broke into a goddamn sweat, jayses chroist.

i feel you. i just got a Cobra and upgraded it with all D + B FSD to try some rare trading and explorin' the galaxy a bit... but can't play until next week :(

btw commodity servers seemed a bit fucked for me today... some shit was almost random. Imperial Slaves were constantly fluctuating between ~10,5k and 16k. wish i could'be taken advantage of it :(

Fuck me, fuck me, fuck my stupid retarded memory. I've lost 60K bounty today because again, I forgot to refuel or bring a fuel scoop with myself, so I ran out of fuel in a system with nothing in it. And I had to self destruct.

how is fuel scoop not the first thing you buy? those things practically pay for themselves

because MOAR CARGO SPAYSE! (but yeah, scoops are basically mandatory for anything from Cobra onwards)

You need a fuel scoop for combat classes too, just to keep from having to make pit stops every 2 jumps.

Also, I know I'm not the only person who kept doing this, but for the longest time I circled a star because that's more fun than scooping up the most efficient way, which is to throttle down to 0 and scoop up hydrogen at 30 km/s. It's much easier to manage your heat this way. Only problem is a potential interdiction, but I've noticed that NPC ships have a tendency to overshoot you at minimal supercruise.

And in the next episode of "J_C is a retarded cunt who runs out of fuel in uncharted systems":

So, I bought the fuel scoop after my last self destruction in an empty system. But guess what, I managed to fuck up even this way. I was travelling into unknown territory with my newly installed fuel scoop, self confident and brave and I ran out of fuel in an empty system with a white dwarf. Problem No1: you can't scoop fuel from white dwarf. Problem No2: even if I would be able, I fucked up because I supercruised so far from the sun that it was only a small star in space and I couldn't find it again.

Why is this happenning to me? :negative:

circling around a star is actually the best way to do it, since that's how you reach max scoop volume for your scoop... it's just hard to pull off.
i prefer to just fly towards star until i reach 99-100 temperature, then turn almost perpendicular to that, since it reduces temp for some reason, and you don't risk slowly drifting into the star, plus you can reach 80% of max scoop bandwidth that way.
interdictions are shit either way, sinced they still happen if you scoop for longer periods, and escape vectors have a tendency to lead straight into the sun.

in unknown territory, you scoop whenever you get the chance to. scooping on empty tank is only an option when you are flying a known route repeatedly, like shipping rares and other goods and making a scoop run at the halfway and endpoints.

125% Heat is actually a safe threshold for your systems, so it's possible to get fairly close and still get max scoops at low speed. I just avoid it because I'm paranoid about repair costs.

Besides, with a Class B power plant on my Lakon 6 I can get 55 fuel per second out of 75 while being close enough to only have 99% heat at 30 km/s.

That frees up the hands to:

1) read a book
2) write a letter to the editor
3) hit "the dooby"
4) throw up a gang sign
5) alt-tab to dickgirl porn

What I really miss is that you don't have a storage, where you can store your currently not used modules. If I swap outfit for a different mission, I have to buy those modules each time I swap.

That's the rub isn't it? You could try swapping out your shield generator with an appropriately sized cargo rack and get a smaller generator instead, if the loss of cargo space really bothers you that much.

Loving the game so far. Space Trucking Inc. rules. Do hope they'll add more content as time goes by. Missions, player interaction, events and, especially, sights and shit to discover. More station designs would go quite a way already. Not even speaking about asteroid bases and the like.*

Anyway, that lovely icing effect. What is it tied to? Silent running with all the systems shut down for good measure doesn't do it. Play the game at high settings, so perhaps it's tied to that?

*Fuel stations in the upper stellar atmosphere of a star, ancient floating derelicts, mining stations in the oort belt, bizarre alien scultpures, a ringworld. Really, there are decades of sf to take inspiration from. Put some awesome shit to find in that void.
