FSM, how are you finding it hard as France? I hear it's the Big Blue Blob again.
I didn't mean to say it was "hard". For some reason though, the mechanics make me less inclined to spread like crazy. I had some issues during the Reformation since there was no WAY I was going to "strive for a more tolerant society", and then a beefed up Aragon and Savoy and England decided to try and take advantage. It was just some rebel stomping, and my manpower was drained for awhile, but I was never threatened, and now I'm expanding at will (but still slowly... I'm trying to diplo-annex whenever possible).FSM, how are you finding it hard as France? I hear it's the Big Blue Blob again.
Around 1600 or so, just to take a single province from poland ,it had to burn 250k manpower(went for quantity over quality ideas) as eastern archers and steppe cavalry defintively cant keep up with modern infantry. Its very well balanced and fun , superior to EU3 in my opinion.
Blobs are no longer safe now. If you piss neighboors enough or overexpand you'll have huge coalitions massed against you. And small but rich minors can now throw gazillion of mercs at you.FSM, how are you finding it hard as France? I hear it's the Big Blue Blob again.
I'm fairly sure that's in the options somewhere. Look under video settings and scroll down. How do you turn off the unit movement animations or animations in general? They're really confusing, because units seem to play the animation when the movement is already completed, and they sometimes also play when the game is paused which makes me panic and press space, which then unpauses the game
The Protestant Reformation can really fuck you up. It had me scrambling around for awhile. I am really liking how tech works, although I have next to nothing to do with my military points right now.
In my game Castile and Portugal had so much internal strife they didn't get around to colonizing much (Castile not at all, in fact), so I'm able to take some territories in the Caribbean, and I'm going to take out the Aztecs next. I like the improvements. In EU3 at this point of the game I was normally looking to start a new one due to how easy it had gotten, but I don't feel so untouchable right now. It's good.

LOL RAGUSA.
LOL MONTENEGRO.
LOL SAVOY.
Wtf happened in your game? I told myself not to get this right at the start but these screenshots are slowly changing that opinion.
Alright, I've gone through 350 province files so far. Cultural enrichment is going well. Once I'm done with that, I gotta start restoring cores too (this is one of the more weaksauce aspects of CK2 conversion).
Wow, that looks almost historical except for the fucked-up France. Nice to see a strong Castille expanding into Europe and not North Africa. My game so far. Castile is making me REALLY uncomfortable. Especially since we're rivals. I'm also a rival with Austria, which is that white blob near me making a delicious HRE sandwich. Everyone hates England 'cept Portugal.
