For fairness that's a bad Reference.

Angry Joe named Alpha Protocol "Most Disappointing" title because he liked the Dialogue System, and was disappointed by the "broken and unbalanced actual gameplay".

And you know why I find this so upset.

........

This game gets one thing right. In fact it gets it so right, that it is better then any other game that I have played in this respect. And that’s the Dialog system.

In fact he mentioned if the not for bugs and extremely imbalanced classes, he would have given it 10/10...

I make no excuses for the first example :hmmm: though...

Joe complaining about inaccurate weapons in AP was funny considering Fallout 3's are similarly inaccurate. And unlike New Vegas, aiming does not make it better, that's purely a cosmetic feature.

Alpha Protocol is one of the most disappointing games of all time. Obsidian working on their own IP, with an underused setting, it should have been so good.

Why do people even watch that fucking retards videos?
Because they are equally retarded.

Confession:

I'm probably going to be bashed for this, but I will admit to have thought about playing Fallout 3.

And I have only one reason, and one thing that Bethesda may have done right.

Make Post Apocalyptic Scenery Porn.

Some videos and screenshots peak my interest, especially since I've spent time in DC IRL.

But then I inevitably see/read something pertaining to the plot/lore/characters which raises bile and keeps me far away the game.

I should :( know better than such heresy...

Just play STALKER, it looks prettier and is a better game.

I own COP, but for some reason it Lags/Stutters so badly that I'm unable to play it.

I'm hesitant to get the other games for fear that I'll have the same problem...

Honestly, their art assets aren't very good, and their engine's renderer is even worse. (constant crashes, poor lighting).
On top of that, there is almost no variety; everything is made from set pieces, and there's only about 5 sets that's used for everything in the game.

Unless there's a bunch of mods you really, really want to check out, just continue doing as you are; Getting fallout 3 just isn't worth the cost in time (or money), especially if you just want to admire the vistas, for all but the few hours it'll take you to get sick of the game.

Fallout 3 actually does have some cool areas. Rivet City is suitably Fallout-y, parts of the wasteland itself are actually quite pretty (though very monotonous), seeing the DC landmarks is actually fairly neat. If you play it as an open-world exploration title, not as a Fallout game, and you go out of your way to avoid talking with people, you can definitely have fun with it. New Vegas is just better in every way, and you don't have to force yourself to ignore the retarded stuff.

I cant see why they want the first two remade, unless its to add real time combat to really fuck with some areas (hello deathclaw nest, let me train you all over to deal with the Regulators because fucked if im dealing with both of you cunts) for more popamole IMMERSIVE action.

There is one thing I might like to see done though, if only to have it released even if in a horribly butchered FPS form. Van Buren. Its better off left dead and buried, if someone develops a machine to travel between alternate dimensions, id like to be dropped off in the one where it gets completed and Interplay was never dirtied by the likes of Herve.

What kind of depraved psychopath would want a remake of Fallout 1 and 2? Knowing the current industry's integrity when it comes to re-releases, they'll probably ship it as an even buggier product with most of its supposed fixes and enhancements already available via fan patches, and the only truly new content being a handful of shitty desert areas and a romanceable companion voiced by Mark Meer, Jennifer Hale, or Steve Blum.

A good portion of the FO3 tards would want that, actually. Just so long as the Enhanced Edition is real time and first-person; anything else is non-immersive. :troll:

I don't think a videogame can actually legally be called a videogame these days unless it features either Steve Blum or Nolan North in it.

At least it's not Bioware...then we would see threads like "We want a romanceable super mutant companion!" and "Shish-kebab buttsex is a right, and Bioware should champion it!".

I did play through Fallout 3. I kind of enjoyed it for what it was, a post-apocalyptic FPS. But it's not a fallout game...

Problem is FNV is better FPS than F3 too... Also I enjoyed to collect guns in FNV, especially with VMX/VMM mods. They're better guns but nothing beats the pro NCR run like carring ''Light shining in Darkness'' and ''This Machine kills Commies"

I see there is already quite a bit of discussion on a title that is going to be fucking horrible. You know, just like everything else that Todd Howard shits out.

I hope so, becouse that would imply that he really tries to make a good RPG, but can't. But i seriously doubt that.
I think Todd judges the quality of their games solely on sales and the revenue they bring in.
And in that case, Fallout 3 is indeed a success.
