Bethesda spend all their money on world design, not combat and animations like you want. I doubt that will change any time soon, they know their audience.

Word design is the only element they do well... atleast to 15 hour of a game when all become repetitive copy pasta background for retardo quests. This is why I liked Point Lookout (as brainless Bayoo adventure) which you can finish well before this moment of Epiphany.

Whether you or I think they do it well the mass market loves their world building work. They obviously focus on that, making good theme parks for the masses to explore.

Did I ever tell you about that one time I made a thread called "Cinematic criticals" on Bethpizda forums during Whoreout 3 development?

Well I'm calling it now: this thread will sooner or later be moved from console RPGs to general gaming on acount of no RPG in an RPG

This is the part where I list some and then you say "those are shit" and we all learn the meaning of subjective quality, right?

The masses love their world design. You don't have to.

I loved the stranded Carrier in Fallout 3. I also liked the Vault you started in, and that stupid virtual reality village. Seriously, this game was not all shit. Stop trying too hard, Codex.
