Skyrim was better than oblivion.

Oblivion had butt-ugly NPCs, Skyrim had ugly NPCs

Skyrim had more voice actors than Oblivion, but not nearly enough

Both gameworlds are as bland as a newborn's turd

Skyrim streamlined skills even more than Oblivion did

Both are heavily level-scaled

Both had game breaking bugs on release

Both look like shit without mods

Interface wise they are both shit without mods, Skyrim even more so

Veredict: they both suck ass.

Give me a break. Skyrim looked pretty nice. Good variety in environments, attention to detail, unique and well characterized towns, and they actually put some thought into the map layout. I actually got the sense there was an art team on Skyrim. Way, way better than the overwhelmingly generic world of Oblivion, or the samey, disjoint world of Fallout 3 (which was itself way better than Oblivion). Skyrim also had better level design. Granted many of the dungeons were basically corridors, but the Dwemmer ruins, some of the forts, and a some of the better Nordic ruins were funnish. Better than the procedurally generated shit in Oblivion, anyway.

Gothic 2 (2003) and Two Worlds (2007) to name 2 examples have more gameworld variety than multimillion production Skyrim. Two Worlds is shit, though.

The graphics may have improved from Oblivion but in my opinion Skyrim is still bland, with the exception of Windhelm, maybe. IIRC the are no proper coastal/fishing villages (Dawnstar is a regular village with a wooden pier) for example. Being shoved with a loadscreen on your face every time you enter and exit a hut doesn't help, either.

To each his own I guess.

Skyrim's NPCs were ugly on purpose, but in graphics quality they were better.(Still not good, but better was the word I used.)

Skyrim had way more voice actors, and more than Just Patrick Stewart as a name that anyone gave a shit about. Could have been better, but refer to when I said, "better" and not "good".

No, Skyrim was more thematic, Oblivion being set in some melting pot didn't seem to know what the fuck it wanted to be.(Besides a generic fantasy setting.) The world's where made better by the way they were populated, none of the creatures felt as stupid as in oblivion.

Yes, but Skyrim is still better, it has less trash mobs than FO3s random encounter shit, and is way less level scaled than Oblivion. Oblivion may have the worst level scaling of all time. skyrim generally replaces enemies with better tier enemies with more spells and shit. Oblivion just made the npc get more and more hp and skill, to no end. Level scaled characters in Skyrim tend to have a cap that they can reach. And things like giants are hand placed, as well as a few other areas meant specifically for one type of enemy. It is better at it.

That's true, but when I played Skyrim I was able to finish most quests, Oblivion was overflowing with bugs. And most of them were never fixed.

True.

No, Skyrim's is less shitty.

Verdict: Oblivion was shit, Skyrim was less shit than Oblivion.

Only City was was heavy disappointment was Falkreatch with its small cemetery and no trace of being King Couleghain Capital; it was like visiting legendary Sancre Tor turned into generic Fort ruin again as to NPCs I think they're stylized to be ''ugly'' with wrinkles, blemishes, scars and dirt; much better than plastic barbie look and at the veryh least they're not Potato faces from Oblivion and monstrosities from Morrowind.

How about I say that they got better at creating the skin of a good game?

Monstrosities!?!? How can you call morrowind's faces monstrosities? Look at them, i mean just LOOK at them.
imperial_morrowind2-600x426.jpg

These low poly faces are wonderful, simply wonderful. Sure, Skyrim lacks the incestretardo of Oblivion and is in fact quite decent but Morrowind, Morrowind just has that something special. Using face mods would be a grave insult to it.

I still remember how they said "they care about Fallout" and then they went on to create Fallout 3. You can't be a bigger hypocrite than that.

Never forget!:hearnoevil::balance:

I'd say you're probably right, but still, it's a decades-long waiting game in which we witness how Bethesda releases the same turd over and over, only that each new release is more polished. But still a turd.

In Morrowind, Ebonheart was supposed be a former city-state, instead it was smallish castle.

Too Na'Vi.

Back in the days I always used mods with "purist" options, which followed original faces shapes and look. Was fine for me. Morrowind does have a bit too many ugly old dunmer hags, compared to which Ranis Atris or Telvanni waifu from quest look like they're 16 years old.

My prediction for the Fallout 4 trailer:

*An old man's voice begins talking over a montage of a ruinous Boston.*

Deathclaws, once thought to have died long ago in the Enclave wars, have reappeared. No longer a minor threat as the were long ago, the Deathclaws have grown wings and intelligence on par with humans, and have vowed to set the wastelands ablaze with their infernal powers. City after city of the Commonwealth fall to their might, with those still standing nearly powerless to resist them.

Not all hope is lost, as a prophecy foretold of a hero who would discover the ancient knowledge hidden away within the very depths of the vaults, knowledge that would grant one the ability to become one with the deathclaw. Find your destiny and become the one the fear, for in their tongue you are Vahltekiin, Vault-born!

On a more serious note, I doubt the game will be any good. After Oblivion and Skyrim, Bethesda clearly has no interest in making RPGs, so I expect them to not only remove all of the content added in New Vegas (hardcore mode, weapon modifications, etc.), but to dumb it down dramatically more than they did with Skyrim.
