I get it.

New Vegas stressed the shit out of the tards. It also lost them fans by showing what a proper studio can do.

Why would they hand Fallout to a good studio again?

The song in the trailer was really good. I keep thinking they're going to run out of these proto-doo wop 40s vocal songs, but they never do. I can't stop listening to it.

2) the dog companion will probably be important in the story. That would indicate, that he is a mandatory companion, which is pretty ridiculous for a Fallout game. I will be really happy if I'm wrong on this one

Maybe this time around, you will be looking for your dog (still voiced by Liam Neeson), and the cool DJ on the radio will be named Three Dad.

The comments around the web regarding this game are hurting my head:
"Male-only character, NO BUY" says the feminazi. "

Political opinions aside, the speculation about a male-only voiced character implies a certain direction in the design that is very damaging to the core of Fallout.
It's also very damaging to the core of Bethesda games: nude mods.

This screenshot is so weird.
The detail in the protectron is nice, although I'd rather have a more classic texture.
But, look at all that crap on the background... What the fuck?
Is that fucking Lego Boston?
Is it NEXTGEN? No. Still... looks shitloads better than FO3/NV. Obviously that's not saying much given it's been several years but still... looks fine.

Also wonder what the explanation will be that most of Boston (a primary nuclear target) is seemingly intact: Statehouse, Fenway, The Constitution (ship). All of these things should have been utterly melted/evaporated.

The original Vault Dweller has been hinted to be a male, in fact, one of the premade characters, Albert Cole. If I'm not mistaken, you also meet the Vault Dweller in the "other" Brotherhood of Steel game, and he's a man.

Fo2's manual goes out of its way to make VD's gender ambiguous, though (his/her eventual lover is called "Pat").

Is it NEXTGEN? No. Still... looks shitloads better than FO3/NV. Obviously that's not saying much given it's been several years but still... looks fine.

That's the intro cutscene. I think the game itself will look like a retouched Skyrim. Which is good enough for me, anyway.

Some of it was cutscene I'm sure but a lot of it looked like in-game stuff. And, again, since it didn't look amazingly awesome I'm assuming it's a lot closer to what we can expect versus Tit Witcher 3 hype trailers. At the very least it's more colorful which is a refreshing change from the grey soaked FO3 and sepia soaked New Vegas.

The Chinese realized how obnoxious Bostonians were, and figured it'd be worse for America if they didn't destroy Boston.

I'm not sure the basis that some random developer is going to do a spinoff is sound.

It's a new AAA game after all. The nerve though, every other FO is like 10 bux.
