Good point, sad how they take two steps back for every step forward.

Fallout 4 is more true to the original lore than Fallout 3. The biggest example would be the BoS, they're completely different than the white knight brigade from FO3, they're more like a mix of the original BoS and the enclave from the 3rd game. Otherwise he's probably referencing design, the enclave power armor for example, doesn't look like shit in this one, looks more like the original, same with the vault jumpsuits.

TBH power armors are well made in Fo4. You look like a tank. In Fo1, Fo2 it looks like fancy metal shell, only in artworks it appears as bulky suit. But that's it, rest is just minecraft so hard to say Fallout 4 is more fallout than originals.

Yes, it may look more like what you'd imagine when someone says "power armour", but they way how common it is kind of defeats its original premise that it's available only to the largest and most advanced organisations.

I said how good they look, not how you can find functional suit after 200 hundred fucking years that no one else scavanged for himself. You would expect that someone would snatch Enclave APA? Nope, better leave it shut behind average terminal with no guard close to it so PC can hack it open and kill every Gunner in camp with it. That's how I got first X-01 in South Boston Military Checkpoint. It was pathetic.

Look at this fuckwit:

its not a rpg at all? i got news for you, rpgs have evolved, apparently fallout 4 isn't for you so just move on, saying things like "fallout isn't a real rpg" is really inconsequential, and pointless, it doesn't matter how you define it, the gaming world has redefined what rpgs are, they're more of a hybrid type of game, so maybe its best you stick with fallout 1 and 2 instead of coming on a fallout 4 thread to just endlessley complain about fallout 4 not being a real rpg, just move on.

God Summer is such an old cunt.

Then it's probably best not to bring it up. Because you know...dancing all about it like that makes it seem as if that is exactly what you are saying and it comes off as fairly insulting to others John Henry. All best left unsaid.

In fact, it's gotten insulting enough in this thread to close it.

It won't stop them from releasing a "GOTY edition" later on, but this is the first time since Morrowind that a Bethesda game didn't win a single GOTY award from the major outlets.

Man, I really hate the "dear diary" terminal journals in this game. Its like Nexus mod levels of awful, long winded garbage.

Oh yea and the music is awful. Its like they said "JUST USE THE CUT SKYRIM TRACKS"

I think it safe to say goodbye to Open-World Style DLC and it will be more likely the future DLC will be far linear than any past Fallout DLC because Voiced Protagonist.

Seriously Voiced Protagonist is really liability for their greatest strength (exploration hiking simulator ARPG), but somehow they insist putting that in the game despite being terrible at it.

Which could be one of DLCs. Divinity: Original Sin EE has everything voice-acted now AFAIK. The idea of every bit of dialogue voiced is nice, the only drawback is that it requires lot of money/time and fans won't be able to make voiced quest/companion mods.

Ideally there would be voice actor for White, Black, Asian male/female with different voice acting for smart/average/dumb, fat/good shape, good/bad/neutral. You would have to mix all of this together and make it work with quests that should offer diplomatic/stealth/violent options and that would mean a lot of work from voice actors and actually have good writer working on the game.

To be honest, Dragon Age Origins had voice sets for different attitudes and races, so it's not like it's completely impossible to do this for a AAA studio. However, DAO's protagonist didn't read the dialogues out loud. Even biodrones complained about how Hawke only had one voice.

But why? Fallout subreddits are retard breeding grounds.

The whole Fallout fanbase is approaching brony levels of shittiness.

Moo?
Go ahead and pick one of four dialogue options, the voice actor uses almost the exact same tone for each of them. Whether you're expressing remorse for their dead baby or asking if he smelled like pork when he burned.

At this point, even when Obsidian or whatever Studio that Bethesda decided to make Spin-Off with, making a game that clearly superior in every possible way. (just like New Vegas to 3)

Majority of Bethestard will still prefer Fallout 4 for some fucking reason i can't possibly to understand.

They are that Fanatic, just like Religious Fanatism.

Honestly it scared me like a hell.

On the Railroad quest to analyze the chip.

Game is semi-boring so far.

The VATS combat is what makes this game shine.

It reminds me of the oldschool spaghetti westerns.

The entire setting looks like it was built by IKEA and then nuked.

That's not a good thing.

Bioware fans are much the same, at least those that bother to frequent reddit and the official forums.

The thing is, we have to realize this is a new generation, young adults or kids who never played any of the classic rpgs, who don't have a clue what good tb combat is, or what isometric 2d graphics bring to the table.

Things won't get better, in fact they will get much worse and the codex and like-minded enthusiast communities will fade away into obscurity with even the indie studies ignoring their pleas for incline.
