Any sane community 200 years after the war would have torn down most of the old shit which is unusable after being exposed to the blast from an atomic bomb and decades of weather without maintenance and just build something new with new materials. Something new that actually looks like it. FFS, even in New Vegas the NCR is obviously incapable of bringing along some fresh paint.

I get it, it's post apoc and shit, but still, it requires a lot of suspension of disbelief to accept that even after 200+ years all the people still live in shoddy sheds made from old junk or pre-war buildings that still contain the old wallpapers and furniture without any attempt at renovating at least some of it.
It would work 20 years after the war, maybe 50. But 200? After that time I would expect that maybe from the outcasts and poor, not frigging everyone.

First reaction to seeing his view from the vault elevator was a sigh and a lack of surprise at seeing all those lovely wooden buildings still standing after centuries of nature, the elements and neglect wearing away at them.

I think a little but of improvement for Beths FO games would have been if they're set them in the initially rebuilding of the world after the radiation had died down so they could present exactly what they felt a post-apocalypse game to be, that is, taking place immediately after the apocalypse.

I can understand this, but the way they did it for Fallout 4 is terrible, to say the least, especially when out of all the metal walls, the best obvious ones where the last one, and even then there wasn't much you could do with it, you can't even give it a fresh coat of paint, which overall, makes the place look dull and boring. Logically, you'd want to go with metal, but after seeing the results being rather bland, I think wood might be the better option in terms of a nice fresh feel, though just like metal, most of them are pretty shitty in terms of looks.

I wonder, now that most of the interfaces are displayed through the pipboy itself, if it's going to be difficult now to develop UI mods. I'm worried about that, and also about how mods are even going to be handled by Beth with bethesda.net.

Also yeah, intelligence seems to be a dump stat now, since it apparently only affects XP gain.

RPGWatch is as mainstream as IGN, news... to no one.
Well, the Codexers just play it silently, like just this moment 30 members of the official RPG Codex Steam group. Which obviously only includes people who actually bought the game.

The game is obviously made for people with mad shooter skillz, something I lack. I must have died more often in the first hours than I died in all my 7+ runs of FNV combined. Enemies shuffle around like legionairies in FNV, making them a pain to hit with semi-auto weapons (pistols were wasted perks). VATS isn't a close range panic button anymore, the pipegun family weapons deal shitty dmg and enemies have bloated HPs.Radiation lowering my already puny HPs does the rest. Guess I have to switch to a fullauto piperifle to make it bearable. Or switch to powah amoah, which seems to be Bethesda's intention.
Come to think about it, it's actually a neat idea making you superior to the wasteland not because you have wonderously gained perfect eyesight and unparalleled knowledge of weaponary, but simply because you have a working tank.
I ended up slashing everything with a machete. Not what I planed for my diplosniper, but strangly the most effective way. With 2 str. Yay.

How does armor work in FO4 btw? Is it the old Bethesda way with percentage resists (making autorifles useful), or the superior obsidian version?

Perks are sort of fucked up: the one that increases hip firing (i.e. non VATS) requires 7 strength. Why strength over agility or perception? Who knows... So if you dislike VATS then a strength build is the way to go: you'll have better accuracy with guns and do more melee damage.

Modders are already fixing the game.

Those were up days before the game launched, just a bunch of bored Todd fans.

What do you expect? At the Abernathy Farm the wife is all bitter and cunt-y because they need to constantly work to survive, always have to have stuff to trade blah blah. Fifty feet in all directions from that farm I found tons of items to craft with or sell or what have you. Bitch I can see the Red Rocket station from your house! If your husband somehow manages to get his dopey butt to Diamond City regularly without it getting chewed, he must know there is a hoard of stuff for you to scavenge out there.

Bethesda should just drop the RPG aspects completely, its meaningless.
Sadly, they can't. They need pseudo-RPG stats for gamification purposes -- points and badges are needed to hook the majority of casual players.

When someone is underground 200 years i would expect and kind of natural light source be 'blinding' to a poor eye sight.
Bullshit.

Guys, is it even explained how the people in Vault 111 all died? Well, besides your wife receiving a lethal dosage of lead.
