This is armor in Bethesda's mind.

look at the fanny pack with the same metal texture

i get that bethesda wanted to have people be able to wear armor and their choice of undergarment, but come on. it looks like some sort of street hockey outfit.

edit:
It annoys me that people have European accents. Like wtf

She's supposed to be oirish.
yeah, but is there some sort of irish commune or something? how does she have that accent after 200 years of her ancestors living in america?

heavy combat armor gets pretty close to the reinforced/mk2 of earlier games. at least as far as bulkiness is concerned.

After clearing the Castle quest Preston just wandered off to somewhere and disappeared, only to reappear after fast traveling. Naked, having lost his power armor somewhere.

This is armor accroding to actual modern military experts and scientists. I know the actual armored parts blend in well with the uniform, but it's more or less similar (save the helmet). Just saying

Uh, did you look at the video you posted? Did you see the amount of coverage that that armor provides vs bethesda's version? They are similar in principle, but beth's armor is ridiculous by comparison. There is no under arm protection, no protection for the shins or knees and far too much chest area exposed in the upper chest area. It's better than nothing, but for it to be the game's combat armor is just meh. Body armor isn't going to be realistic because this is a game and no one wants their character outfitted in a big ugly MTV or similar tactical vest, but this is not only ugly looking, it just doesn't look effective.

it also doesn't help that fallout has the super shitty character models that look like stiff old star wars action figures.

There are also Indian doctors, and a couple of Russian hotel owners. You don't even get the option to ask the Russian guy what's with the accent, or how he and his brother got all the way to America or know how to speak English.

The combat armor doesn't look that bad when used with army clothing. It still looks like something a 15 year old wannabe LARPer would make. I was one, I know what am I talking about.

Couldn't take it any more. Uninstalled. I think the only way to deal with playing more than a few hours of this game is to get brain damage.

I'm at the same point. I feel like giving up despite of the fact that I've reached end game. I have to choose between Minuteman, Railroad and BoB. Perhaps even Institute!? Who knows.

The thing is: the game balance is off. Completely off. 90% of mobs are Feral Ghouls. Killed a Glowing Deathclaw with a shotgun but I needed 5 mini-nukes to take out a Synth Courser. Fucking sponges.

I have so many Legendary items that I've started selling them. On Survival, each location has at least 3 Legendary enemies, you practically stumble on "legendary" items. Also most of them are shit.

The game started recycling quests and locations. I cannot take it anymore.
