It's very good, if you need some tips feel free to ask me.
I pirated version 7.1.05 of Capitalism Lab, doesn't seem like the latest versions were cracked. I'll buy it if it's good. It came with all the DLCs (Subsidiary, City Economic Simulation, Digital Age, Banking and Finance). Where would you recommend to start as a new player?

Edit:
Seems like it has a good tutorial, so I guess I'll start with that lol

Alright, I'll give it another try this time installing some performance mods and see if that helps. Going to start a new character and this time not taking the broken Sleepwalker trait.

Edit:
Actually, fuck it. I'm going Sleepwalker again.

Yea tutorial is a good start, after that might be a good idea to start and just try a store chain/manufacturing chain. Dont get into all the finance and software stuff until later, its kind of intended for more advanced players.

Theres a lot of different play styles you can experiment with.

You do seem to have all the dlc so the version is probs fine, outside of dlc it doesnt get many major updates.

Should I keep all DLCs disabled while I'm learning the ropes?

Not a learning animal bruv. Why don't you test the loading times before you commit to long walking hours?
If the additional mods won't fix the absurdly long loading times I'm not gonna bother playing anyway, and if they do, it's going to be an interesting challenge.

The mods I'm going to use:
Long Loading Times Fix

And then then from the TeamFOLON recommended mod list:
ENB with their preset (disabling VSync and FPSLimit in enblocal as it's a requirement for loading times fix)
Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul
Buffout 4 (Requires "xSE PluginPreloader F4" version 0.2.5.1)
Enhanced Blood Textures
Classic Holstered Weapons System (CHW)

Hmmm you don't NEED to but I suppose that might cause less information overload.

Alright, the Loading Times Fix mod is a must. It brought down my loading times from 2+ minutes to under 20 seconds. Going to continue my playthrough where I left off now.

Yeah, that shirt was white on the second starting run as well. Buggered install? Who knows. Didn't screenshot.

That starting knife is behind a 7 STR check. There is some 'buffout' in the station.

I fixed my install and am up to lvl 7 and got myself a dog. I'm running with Buffout 4 and load accelerator but haven't set up ENB. It's fun. Worth a play.

TL;DW - shit that causes problems with Fallout London:

1) Weapon Debris: crash risk, known issue since Fo4's initial launch, disable it;
2) the official HD texture pack: sucks ass anyway, get rid of it;
3) Creation Club content: apparently you don't even need it enabled, it's enough to just have it squatting in your Data folder (which Steam users do, thanks to Valve's autoupdates and Bethesda's... Bethesda) to cause problems, so get rid of it.

Fun thing about the Sleepwalker perk + Survival is that you have random spawns at certain locations you wake up at. So you might face the Deathclaw equivalent of London, get killed, and then respawn to a non-hostile NPC event. Kind of fun, different and wonky now that I don't have to fight the loading screens anymore.

I think the map is also designed around this perk. The areas that I woke up in were more or less samey difficulty wise. But it gets you around post apocalyptic London. Still trying to make my way back to where I ought to be to progress the quest.

I'm having fun now.

Does it ever not rain in this mod?

Anybody playing on Survival had the bug of beds disappearing after you've slept in them? Not sure if bug or feature.

Caffeine is a Sleepwalker's best friend.

Fuck this (again). Even with fixed load times (via a different mod) this mod is just a piece of shit. I challenge you faggots to go the The Strand and fall under this ramp in the screenshot and NOT 'brick' your game. Absolute dogshit garabage waste of time POS.

Purge, purge, purge from my drive. I'd rather fill up these 65GBs with gay porn than have this crap on my PC any longer.

Okay, how this compares with Fallout 4, are there real quests this time or is just entering on typical codexian basement, fighting cuck raiders that are eventually replaced by super cuck raiders while collecting used diapers to craft ammo you wont need?

Are there quests that make you question the evolution of the human race and if the writers evolved from the Homo habilis phase?

How is this in terms of cringe radiation, is it okay, is it Fallout 4 extra chromosome levels or is it ashamed of being of the same species like on Fallout: The Frontier?

Alright so my review, I've played approximate... 20? hours something like that, I've gotten to the midgame and spent a fair bit of time exploring the North area of the map, joined the Vagabonds but didn't progress through the heist missions. Got Churchill the dog, met a couple of companions, set up a settlement. You get the idea.

The Good - Stuff that's legitimately awesome
  • The sheer scope of this project is insane. They have produced a worldspace that comes close to what Fallout 4 has, well maybe 3/4 of that maybe a bit less, but the size of the world is nuts. The sheer amount of content here is insane, like I got 20 hours in and the content just kept coming, there are tons of factions and a lot of them have in-depth questlines attached to them. Now I'll explain how the scope of the project has perhaps been their downfall a little later, but for the moment I have to say how ambitious this project is and the sheer balls of the team to actually complete it all, even if it is in a bit of a state (more on that later) here and there. Like this was so obviously vaporware or just going to be a complete disaster like The Frontier but fuck, they actually pulled it off. Bethesda should be fucking embarrassed by this.
  • The presentation is actually nuts. They even have little in-game cartoons attached to all the perks, like Beth did with the Vault Boy cartoons. The quality of the presentation is incredible. This doesn't 'feel' like a fan mod at all, barring some occasionally flat-looking worldspace which lets be honest is typical of FO4's dated graphics. It's not perfect, there's some janky stuff here and there, like the Vagabond NPC Yvette who has a fucking 1980s Batman Joker grin pasted onto her face and her gun sticks up 10m into the fucking air, and some janky VA here and there, but overall this feels professional and more like an official DLC than a fan mod.
  • The sound design is fucking excellent. As I stated earlier, at times it reminds me of Vangelis' work on Blade Runner. In particular the opening 10 hours of the game has some really intense ambient soundtrack that really piles on the atmosphere and makes the world 'pop' more than it has any right to. Also the combat tracks are fantastic, just the right level of 'oh shit' vibe without getting repetitive and annoying like some combat tracks do e.g. in FO4, Skyrim or other Beth works. The midgame reveals some flaws unfortunately, exploring the North area I only got this one ambient track repeating over and over and it got tiresome, not as good as the earlier experience, I hope they fine-tune that a bit.
  • The dialogue in certain places. It's not great everywhere, very inconsistent. But certain NPCs are just fucking outstanding. One in particular had me laughing out loud, and I'm not talking about some cheap 'IM A BRITISH YA KNOW' humour which the mod has plenty of and, yeah OK it's fine it is what it is. But the dialogue, just occasionally, is really very good.
  • Outstanding set pieces in certain places. There is a moment fairly early on where you go into an underground area and.. wow. Bethesda has never achieved anything as good as that. Really accomplished. I've also heard great things about the heist quests which I'm going to save for a future playthrough.
  • Excellent weapon design, so much better than what we got in Fallout 4. The basic tier 'Crude' guns are really well-designed. I got to wield a fucking Longsword against chavs, you can't tell me that isn't awesome.
  • The user support on Discord being run by volunteer moderators and developers. Absolutely outstanding. Even the most retarded users are given help rather than being told to fuck off and read the instructions first, which is admirable. You can tell they really care about the players. Bethesda take note? Ah fuck it, they stopped giving a shit years ago.
  • The challenge. Now some of this is due to a HP bug which I'll explain later, but regardless, the approach here is excellent. The level of challenge is very high from minute one. Very refreshing. Unfortunately the Survival needs aspect is too lenient, you can make Purified Water from 3x Dirty Water for fuck's sake.
  • The new perks. They are all great, there's only a few though and most of them are stolen from Fallout New Vegas, but the little bit of effort that's made here to fix the worst aspects of Beth's vanilla FO4 perk tree is really appreciated.
  • Absolutely incredible worldspace quality. This really feels like London. Some flat textures here and there aside (and some bafflingly-low res ones), this feels like a triple-A company created it.
  • NPC designs. Really amazing. They introduced some new NPC types, sorta like Ghouls but water-themed, and made a whole faction out of them. They are really well-designed, and the VA for them is insanely high-quality, totally blew me away.
The Bad - Stuff that's not good now but is fixable in the future
  • The crashes, holy shit this mod crashes a lot. I've spent 40-50 hours in Fallout 4 Enhanced Edition, a now-retired Wabbajack FO4 modlist that like a trillion mods in it and I experienced maybe, 3 crashes in that whole time - and those were all Workshop related. So FO4's stability issues *can* be solved with enough knowledge and time, that's proof. FOLON is pretty fucking far from that gold standard unfortunately. Constant crashes, no matter where you are or what you're doing you are at risk of a fucking crash. And I'm not talking about Weapon Debris issues or other issues that people will just say 'LOL JUST INSTALL BUFFOUT NOOB'. I installed everything to fix all the issues I could, I installed multiple fix mods. This is instability period, not things that are resolved just by slapping a F4SE mod or a fix mod into the install. I don't know if its issues with the precombines or similar, that can get resolved in time, myself I'm sceptical of this, but maybe the team will get to a point where crashes are rare. I hope so.
  • Performance is very, very bad in specific areas, and again, it's not something that can be resolved just by sticking Shadow Boost in your F4SE folder. There are significant problems when viewing certain worldspace areas, I suspect its specific buildings that have been created from scratch and aren't properly optimised. I'm hopeful that these issues will be resolved in the future but right now, you better have a very good rig and preferably be using Pure Dark's upscaler if you hope to have good frame rate.
  • Quest bugs. Ok it's a Bethesda game, we know that there will be quest bugs. It's inevitable, but why not have an Open Beta/Early Access period to iron out the worst offenders before an official release? I'll expand on this in a moment, but they really fucked up here. There are just too many broken quests. One in particular is completely broken and cannot be fixed even with a console command.
  • Bugs that make you think what the fuck were testers doing. One of the first bobblehead items in the game (they're beer coasters) is broken, instead of giving you a 5% damage boost to melee/unarmed it nerfs ALL your damage by 50%. Another bug causes you to have roughly half the amount of HP you should actually have, maybe even less, right from the start of the game. Like what the actual fuck were they doing? Another reason they should have had an Open Beta/Early Access period. Settlements are also completely broken by the way, one guy had his attacked by Super Mutants (lol) and in my game settlers are completely unable to be assigned to crops.
  • They fucked up the release. Badly. Step by step:
  1. Shitty instructions. I read the instructions to the letter and still didn't understand exactly some of the finer points. I had to discover how to do it by trial and error. Now imagine how the average retard who uses a PC coped. Yeah. (not that I'm saying I'm a fucking genius or anything but I know my way around Mod Organiser 2 more or less). And there was so much fucking copium being inhaled on the Discord about this issue. Both moderators/devs and dick-sucking fanboys pretending like the website instructions were perfectly fine. They were shit. They still are shit.
  2. Stuff like Buffout being effectively required to run the mod properly, but it wasn't included with the mod, while stuff like XDI was. Ultrawide support out of the box is nice, but they used the shittiest ultrawide mod out there, Truby9 which doesn't even work correctly, instead of the one that works brilliantly and is compatible with FallUI.
  3. Releasing with a 'Recommended Mods' list that includes mods that don't even work with the mod and STILL don't. See-Through Scopes doesn't work. It has never worked. Yet it was on the list (and it STILL is). What the fuck? They even recommend Sim Settlements 2 for the mod, but settlements in this mod don't even work correctly, and who the fuck would install this mod in FOLON, you don't even get the quests? Like what the fuck were they thinking. This is Bethesda-tier incompetence.
  • Shitty encounter design / set piece design. Multiple times during set pieces big enemies were revealed and then promptly got stuck on terrain and I just popped them in the head freely til they died. Remember the Deathclaw encounter in that weird house in FO4? Now here I'll do something I rarely do - give Bethesda credit. They designed that house so that it was extremely tough to cheese that fucking Deathclaw. He could roam around most of the areas of the house and you really had to fucking run like hell to get away from him. A similar event in FOLON had me turn around in the small room I was in, realise that a Deathclaw-like creature had appeared in the adjacent open space, then just literally stand there and pop him to death while he flailed uselessly on walls and shit. Like, no attempt at all was made to ensure that this enemy could even attack me from where I had to be to spawn him - I didn't purposefully find a glitch spot or anything. I didn't need to. This was really disheartening because the moment was otherwise really cool, and so was the enemy type. The devs really need to fix these events so that enemies can actually get to you and threaten you.
  • Shitty pathfinding/navmesh. Both enemies and allies get stuck all the time and it really fucks with gameplay. A moment happened in the open world where a creature similar to a Deathclaw (different to the one I was just talking about) was roaming around. Holy shit I goes, that thing looks nasty. I take a shot, barely scratches him. Fuck! Then he gets stuck on a tiny wall about as high as my foot. Sigh. The event ended in comedy as he got unstuck with 10% HP left (after taking like 30 rounds from my pistol) then ran straight into a nearby landmine.
  • Some dubious balance. Some of the new weapons included in the game are a little unbalanced to say the least. There's some work here to be done. Don't get me wrong though, the quality of the weapons is fantastic.
The Ugly - Stuff that is never going to get fixed
  • Well, it's Fallout 4. Off the top of my head some issues that will never get resolved:
  1. Shitty terrain hitboxes that mean your perfectly-aimed headshot bounces off some invisible wall next to a piece of metal piping because Bethesda can't make hitboxes work right in their games
  2. Retarded AI. You start sniping from a completely safe vantage point, and instead of realising they can't path to you and thus hiding in cover, enemies just run non-stop into walls and generally behave like headless chickens while you pop their heads one at a time. This shit is TRASH.
  3. Fucking settlement mechanics that are baked into the game and do nothing but drag down the rest of the experience. The mod would be so much better if they just removed this trash completely and modified the game mechanics to not need components for upgrades etc at all.
  • Tone issues. The tone is all over the place, similar to Beth's Fallout issues. There are truly brutal moments, like when you find out what happened to the Vagabonds before they became the bottom-feeders that they are when you first discover them, or when you go into the Bank of England and see what happened when the bombs dropped. Absolutely top tier. And then the retarded 'LOL IM BRITISH' dialogue comes in, and you can drink TEA and stuff, and fucking Post Boxes coming alive to attack you, etc. There needs to be way more consistent tone here. Stop ruining the gritty atmosphere you spend so much time investing in, with some goofy gags and shit.
  • Quest quality/design. There are too many fetch quests. In one particularly bad area, I had to go around and talk go 10+ people to get them to agree to have some fucking idiot tyre salesman be their leader. 90% of the people I spoke to didn't give a shit and were just instantly persuaded. The ones that didn't immediately agree, required shitty fetch quests to convince them. Fuck OFF. And then after that, I had to endure this cunt making a speech about how grateful he was, and nobody shot him or told him to shut his fucking face. So disappointing. I wanted to nuke the whole neighbourhood.
  • Scope affecting quality. The mod would be so much better if they like, halved the amount of content and just spent twice as long making quests more interesting and involved. Here's one facet of that, although there are several - there just aren't enough opportunities to have meaningful dialogue with NPCs over important shit. One example of this, there's a guy who wants to learn to read, and you get to critique his attempts. His writing is actually quite interesting because it reveals the nasty shit he's been through. But you can't talk to him about any of it. You can't support him, or laugh at him, or, I dunno, FUCKING ROLE-PLAY. All you get to do is pick whether to be a goody two-shoes and congratulate him for learning to spell 'the' correctly, or shit all over his work and tell him he's a fucking retard (hyperbole, it's not that bad, but you get the idea). It's a binary choice that feels hollow and wastes such a great opportunity. That's overall what hurts the most, these missed opportunities for brilliant role-playing dialogue and more involved choices. And it only hurts because you see the possibilities that this very talented team could do if they focused a bit more and drilled down into these quests, instead of opting for quantity. It's not like Bethesda where you know they are fucking incapable of anything great.
  • Essential NPCs ruining immersion. There's many moments where you are like 'Fuck this guy in particular' and then you attack him and woops he's essential. Fucking great. Massive decline. You also can't kill child NPCs, there is one who is a mouthy cunt and you can't attack him. Stop doing this. Just stop.

Alright I better stop here because fuck me this turned into a novel. I think this comes across as quite negative but I really enjoyed playing it, crashes aside. I'm going to stop here and start another playthrough in a year or two when all the bugs are gone and some autistic genius has created a masterpiece Wabbajack list that makes this mod achieve its full potential.
