Dang. They're ending the Void storyline and we never got questing zones to explore multiple different layers of the Void. It was just one 15 minute long corridor dungeon and a trial. Such wasted potential.
Void is canonically just a wasteland. Nothing to explore really just barren land. In fact the void related dungeon and location were areal.
You mean, like "The Empty"? =P
Thats another thing. The Void is the 13th and is a dead star swallowed by the void. Is described like a place swallowed by the void where nothing survived but Voidsent that actually prey on each other to sate their endless hunger of aether. So nothing really exciting to see there is a dead planet. The first dungeon in the location was the Fallen Court of Troia. Was a floating castle.
It's the same with the 1st.
"One of those reflections—the one nearest to the Source—is our home. And we were the heroes blessed with Her Light. But not all worlds hold Light and Dark in equal measure. In ours, the power of Light was greater by far. So the
Ascians who once threatened our home were no match, and they fell before us, one after another, till none were left. Victory, we thought...
...And then came the Light—a flood of pure, blinding radiance, annihilating shadow and color and
life itself. Ere long, it will consume our world, leaving naught in its wake but blank perfection."
Both got consumed, one by darkness another by light, both planets are mostly wastelands.
Yet we got an entire expansion out of the 13th, therefore being a "wasteland" or mostly "barren" isn't really much of an excuse for it.
Just sprinkle the damn thing with some plot and voilá!
