Actual fun party based tb combat in a crpg for once!?
Don't know if DOS2 success can be repeated.
One could argue the encounter design will be RTwP level and drag the whole experience down but you never know, maybe they'll surprise us again and work very hard on the encounters design.
I think Colony Ship will be out just in time to cash in on the Cyberpunk waveJudging by the Iron Tower standards, Colony Ship will outclass everything else released alongside it, but some retards will still call it "minmaxing simulator" and a lot of retarded "it's too hard" reviews will come.
It’s comments like this that show how retarded you are.Yeah Kotc1 is pretty shit. Just a lot of people got excited because there is very little 3.5 rulesporn on the market. Kotc2 looked like it was shaping up to be an actually good game.
I doubt it. The first one plays like a jRPG made in RPG maker; the second looks like the board game, Checkers.

It will be relatively successful, considering the brand name of BG. But i think that most people who bought into the hype of DOS2 didn't actually enjoy the game to the end. And i don't believe they will keep buying the same game in the future. BG3, may get away for being BG, but after that this recipe is dead in the water, like the Dark Souls retardation fad is over today.
Nah, I bet that any manned colony ship is bound to devolve into some psychotic fest. The crew would need pretty much perfect training and psychological stability. It's not like going someplace else on Earth, it's going to freaking space with no means of turning back. That's pretty scary. You only need a rotten apple +and it becomes The Shining on space.
Doesn't matter if it takes "just" 20 years, 20 years of not seeing the sun alone is a bit hardcore. Like corona confinement, but cranked up to 11.
Besides, Serial Experiments Lain taught me about the importance of Schumann Resonance (this may be pseudo-science alright), what if we can't really survive outside our planet??
That reminds me: I hate hard level caps.
I am yet to see a game you get hyped about that turns out well, the last one was outer farts by obsidianWasteland 3 and colony Ship no doubt.
