Looks like they've re-enabled gifting for the free Fallout promo. Just remember that they might not be redeemable after the rights go back to Bethesda at the end of the year, so be sure to let the recipients know they need to use them promptly.

(Incidentally, the "duck and cover" picture of the Fallout boy they used for the promo seems strangely appropriate for the circumstances, in that he's bent over on his knees as though preparing for an imminent ass-reaming.)

And yeah, KoDP is definitely worth it.

I don't quite understand this sale. It seems like everything is on sale. Will it be like this until Christmas or does that change all the time?

In other words, do I have to buy the games I want now, or can I wait until Christmas and hope that they go on some daily super-sale until then?

I know I sound like a cheapskate (I am), but then I already own those games.

There are daily sales. Wait until the final day before buying.

Steam does the same thing. As said above, check the dailies until the last day and then buy whatever else you might want.

Thanks to both of you, will do so. (Not on Steam, which I don't use, though)

JudasIscariot I've just heared the news about the Rise of Nations IP being sold and I was thinking, is there a chance for GOG to acquire the game? I would throw my money at you if I could purchase it on GOG.

I don't know, way over my head. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't mind us having that IP but what would we, as a company, do with it? We're just a distributor :)

Every time the D&D games go on sale and it says "you own every game in this promo!" it's like GOG is laughing at me for paying full price.

Sorry, I meant that adding the game to GOG (distrubuting it like the others). Not getting the IP. I know you couldn't do anything with it. :D

I wish they weren't sold as a bundle: I wanted to get PS:T, TOEE, and NWN2, but they would cost $18. Instead, if I also get Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard and Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone, the total cost is $11.15 (I already own the other games in the bundle in my GOG.com account).

Alright, I went ahead and got all of them.

Just out of curiosity, does the Codex get any additional revenue if I make my purchase by clicking the GOG.com link up top, rather that using a bookmark for example? Or the the ad pay the same amount per click, regardless if the user makes a purchase or not?

Yes, we do. People in this thread are encouraged to add the Codex's referral code to any GOG URLs they post.

I'm pretty sure Dragonshard and Demon Stone are both complete garbage, but yeah I got them at one of the sales as well "to try out".

I just noticed the "Vote for tomorrow's deal" link below the community deal - looks like we'll have the "Roguelikelike Bundlelike" tomorrow....

I have the following games in Daily Surprise (in three different accounts, obviously):

Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves at $4.99
Machinarium: Collector's Edition at $2.49
Shadowrun Returns at $11.99
13 hours left for each.

If anyone is interested and can't wait until the next discount that is certain to happen, we can arrange a mutually benefiting gifting or something, I suppose.

Yes. It is a pretty fun game. Worth the few bucks it cost on GOG.
