Same here, bought a bunch of games I might not ever get around to playing. That's what sales are for, right? :D

I remember playing Deus, the second part of the Robinson's Requiem collection, and not liking it very much back then. I think that was due to me expecting it to be a normal FPS instead of a hardcore survival game. I haven't played it recently to see if it's any good.

Waxworks is OK from what I have heard but be aware that this is one of those adventure games that has a no-win situation if you miss an item, IIRC.

The rest I haven't played yet so I can't really give an opinion on those.

Old review on Waxworks that should give you more of an idea about the game:

Thanks for the impressions. I'm not a fan of no-win situations but I really like the look of Waxworks and Personal Nightmare.
At that price they seem worth a try, even if they are very flawed games.

Latest sale is the RollerCoaster Tycoon series for 75% off if you get all three or 60% off for each one individually.

I remember spending a fair amount of time playing the first one years ago, so I'll probably pick up at least one of them. Anyone played 2 or 3? Are they mostly more of the same, or do they noticeably decline/improve in any ways?

I've only played the first, but from my understanding the second does nothing but improve on the first. The third made the change to 3d and is generally considered worse than the first two but not terrible.

That's pretty much the impression I was getting from a cursory glance. Thanks!

Holy Cow, Settlers 4 is coming to GOG. I know, I know, everyone tells me that Settlers 3 is the better one, but I'm just not seeing it. I admit that S4 is just more of the same, and doesn't bring too much new stuff to the table, but I still prefer it over S3. It looks better, the enviroments look more lively, and I love the black fungus game mechanic. I can hardly wait to bring my gardener to destroy those pesky funguses.

I have a feeling that's a "buy them before they're removed" kind of thing. Only one I don't own that I have even the slightest interest in is Alone in the Dark 4, but... meh.

Ha! I was annoyed because I accidentally fell asleep after my last post ITT before actually purchasing any of the RCT series, and now they're 65% off instead of 60%. Good things come to those who suffer from narcolepsy, I guess.

(In before I accidentally fall asleep again and go all :rage:)

My favourite Settlers game. Although to be honest I didn't play the other ones too much, I dipped into Settlers 2 Anniversary Edition a bit and that's all. But S4 just clicks with me, it is an adorable game (strange word for it, I know).

It's a bit of a surprise to me though, that many people don't like this, and prefer S3, or S2. I'd would be interested in why these people prefer those.

Syberia, Syberia 2 and Still Life are pretty decent. They're all a little too serious for me but still very enjoyable if you like the genre.
