If you don't want to pay 10 lousy fucking dollars to play an unbelievably epic heavy metal odyssey like Brutal Legend, you don't deserve to play it, let alone breathe.

If you have even a passing interest in metal, Brutal Legend is a must play.
I already bought it on Steam. Finished the game too. Had I any hint back in February that it will be also released on GOG, I would have waited. Too late now.

We have an action game that's full of gore
An adventure from a dev we've not seen before
A thundering great RPG and more
A game inspired by a Forever War
Ten years, fifteen, nearly a score
These are the classics you're looking for

Action game full of gore could be anything, and so could the adventure game.

Third line... Hammer of Thor?

Joe Haldeman's The Forever War is a really good novel, but I'm not sure of a game based upon it. I heard there would be a movie about it, but Haldeman's book would be great in several video game genres from CRPG to first person shooter.

I hope it's a Lucas Arts adventure game (not likely, but maybe now that Disney owns them).

Action full of gore? Devil Inside? Or Bloodlines (Vampire the Masquerede?).
Also - grabbed SuperFrog. One of the few 2d platform games that I can stand. Long time since played it on Amiga CD32. Say "Amiga" and "console" in one sentence then prepare for cutdown.

I got Bloodlines DRM free on Dotemu over a year ago. Too little too late on that one GOG, if you suddenly realize Activision sells that game.

Regarding your "NO, that is NOT a remake." in that post: I think the guy you were replying to was talking about the DOS ports of LOM and DDR that were included with LOM 3. These are now freeware and can be downloaded from the icemark website (though not directly from the citadel subsection the other poster linked to).

Which brings me to the following question: Since the new LOM remake has been out for iOS and Android before being ported to PC - is there anybody who has played this new remake and either the Spectrum original or the DOS port and can comment on whether or not this brings anything new to the table? So far it seems to be mostly a minor graphics and interface update, which would make it not really worth it considering the freeware status of the DOS ports.

Yes, I was fooled by him linking directly to The Citadel.

I'd like to know that myself.
So far the only review is of the original version.
