You mean WINE for Windows? I hope one day that it works because it sounds awesome...on paper for now :D.

http://wiki.winehq.org/WineOnWindows

Also WINE for Android. Checked this thread only to say: YOU CAN'T RUN FROM LINUX USERS ANYWHERE YOU SHOULD DO AS WE SAY OR ELSE.

Keep up the good job and try to release the games without cd key protection.

Night of the Rabbit is 50 percent off. I haven't been a huge fan of the Daedalic games that I've played, and this one apparently has the context-dependent mouse, "one click for everything" gameplay that has helped ensure that the revival of the once-dead adventure genre is more of the "Animate Dead" variety than "Resurrection". Yet I'm still curious about this one. Anyone who has played it have any thoughts?

If you didn't like the other Daedalic games chances are you won't like Night of the Rabbit, I found it the weakest of them. There's not much but you can always check the Codex thread about it:

Audio and text: English. Text and audio: French, German

:hmmm:

Anyway what's the game like? It seems to have all the elements that would make the Codex wet its pussy but I don't really remember it being brought up very often. Is it an obscure gem, or does it have some serious flaws that detract from the experience so much that the game isn't worth mentioning?

This is awesome! One of my first RPGs

I already have a copy but I might buy it from GOG too.

@JudasIscariot Do you know if any bugs/glitches/compatibility issues have been fixed for this version? Or is everything unchanged?

I have kept my eye on the game during testing and the only minor snag was there is some seriously well-hidden switch that is a right bastard to find near the end of the game. I am talking pixel-hunting hidden. Other than that, I haven't heard of anything.

Will there be a Codex newspost about this? Not because GOG but because an RPG gets to see the light of day again :D

Fair enough, I just seem to recall I couldn't get the sound to work right last time I tried running the game with Dosbox. But it may have been either a problem with my copy or incompetence on my part.

Were you running it with the 1.1 patch? For the record, I have not heard anything about the sound not working.

Never played this one. I'll watch some videos tomorrow to see if it's up my alley.

Keep the RPG classics coming.

I am happy to announce that THUNDERSCAAAAAAAAAPPPPEEEEEE!!! is released....and in three languages (subtitles anyway :P) to boot!

Whoa, it's an SSI game! A sign of things to come?

Not sure about that; GOG lists Kyoudai Games as publisher, and Wikipedia says that they recently bought the World of Aden/Thunderscape rights:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Aden:_Thunderscape

So I don't think this release promises anything as far as other SSI RPGs are concerned, unless Kyoudai acquires/has acquired them too.

Does this mean we can expect Entomorph at some point as well?

You know I can't talk about these kind of things :P
I can't help myself from asking! One of these days you'll slip up!

I know, it's cool.

One of these days you'll slip up

Huehue. Nice try :D

Here, I hope this makes you feel better, though!

Hi everyone! Kyoudai Games is very happy and proud to be working with GOG to bring you Thunderscape, and Entomorph is in fact in the works.

Also, there is a copy of the strategy guide in hand we are working to get it to GOG ASAP.

Entomorph was fun. I can't recall if I had it as a separate boxed copy, or if it came in the same box as Thunderscape. I do remember owning them both, though.

Thunderscape is a first-person dungeon-crawling RPG filled to the brim with only the most prestigious turn-based combat and real-time exploration.
Sounds tasty - added to wishlist!

Always glad to see another old CRPG added to GOG and an SSI one at that!

So Codex, new weekend promo at gog.com again. Games for the thinking gamer. Is there anything codexers would recommend from that list? I already have all the age of wonders games, though i might buy the first one because my current copy of it is a backup and i love that game to death so might aswell get legit copy.

Also is there ANYONE on the codex who would say getting the witcher promo is worth my time and money. I am quite unsure when it comes to those games as ive never been too interested in the witcher series.

As for current promo - Nexus if you like ambitious RTS games.
As for Witchers - the first one is IMO better and a pretty good game on its own rights, for 2,5$ it's a shame not to buy it. And the second one - even though I didn't enjoyed it so much it's still worth more than 5$. Buy both.
