Good gaming channels on Youtube?

Ed did one so it's time for MMO guy

Finished watching and one major goof - he's talking about one part where you can soft-lock yourself and compares it to LucasArts point'n'click adventures, where missing one item at the beginning locks your from ending.
Two powerhouses making these games and he picked wrong one.

And good lord I've played a chunk of old and awkward old games in my life, but just watching this gives me some pain.
It's one of these games from "not coming back and finish".

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Personally I would recommend:
Manlybadasshero - Guy is making horror games walkthroughs, mostly completionist ones. Lots of indie, gamejam games, lots of weeb stuff but man he is super chill and his dry humor carries it hard. Also he is really skilled in gaming and doesn't scream like a kid when something jumpscares him.

DasTactic - He covers mostly strategy/tactical games. Has excellent guide series for games like Dwarf Fortress, Age of Wonders 3, Distant Worlds 1/2 or Shadow Empire. He is older lad, and goes really into detail and talks a lot, but it's great informative content and look into game mechanics.

Rooflemonger - If you're into fighting games this man is great, he covers fighting games and creates guides, tutorials, tips etc. Always straight to the point, no bullshit

DeceasedCrab - He was mentioned earlier in the thread, 16 years on youtube, he has arguably best LaMulana walkthrough, covers mostly indie and obscure older games. Pretty fun to watch.

Guy is polish, I believe, but the fact he plays with SCS and Ascension is indeed worthy of respect.
Pretty good commentary too.

Absolutely, very informative. I'd often watch his playthrougs while playing scs myself. Watching all of it is out of the question, but in chunks it's a treasure.

Not sure if anyone care, but BadassGamez is back - iirc he was salty so much (because he did not know how to progress his channel at certain point) he deleted his channel.
Quite a blow for OG Tomb Raider folks. Not sure if everything is restored...

Is there a decent LP of Deadly Premonition around?

key word here is decent
SGF aka SuperGreatFriend, iirc (former?) good from SomethingAwful.

I'm not into LPs anymore (don't know the best, least cringy one), but that's the first thing that popped into my mind.
No screaming, guy doesn't sounds stupid (probably too good for SA standards I guess) which makes him a decent pick.

Now here's a harder question, is there a decent LP of Deadly Premonition 2 around?

I find it hard to take any Youtube game reviewer seriously these days...
Maybe that's just me.

Been watching YouTube game reviewers for at least five years now and the quality has really dropped off. A lot of them can't seem to make a video without swearing and inserting memes and other out of context clips (which are often accompanied by obnoxious increases in audio volume). The ones who don't do this are in a minority.
A lot of these reviewers don't add anything new in terms of observations. There's very little that's genuinely original and memorable from these people.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Obscure retrospectives are still fun to me, as often a different personality type makes these. They are usually a bit more serious in clinical.

It feels like every other guy does game reviews now. Most of them just pass on information with nothing entertaining/interesting to say. I'm not really sure why being a consumer and having a stable internet connection gives people the confidence to gaslight everyone.
