Guido did do some preliminary work on Neverwinter Nights, back when it was still an Interplay title, working with none other than Mr. Trent Oster.
did some work on Fallout 1 and 2 as well.

Look at the credits section inside Fallout 1, under Additional Programming.
Interestingly, he does count Fallout 2 among his official work, while not mentioning Fallout 1 even though he is in the credits of that game.
Like I wrote to the another thread, focus groups aren't necessarely bad if you use them properly...when you want to make turn-based rpg you get the group who are afficianados of them and certainly -never ever- choose focus groups at random since that's just fucking dumb and recipe for disaster.

Who do you think frequents Guido Henkel's blog entries on an upcoming and virtually unknown turn-based RPG? The group is already focused enough.

Maybe somebody should ask him about it.
Hello,
We have had a tremendous response to our call for the Deathfire Focus Group - so much so, in fact, that we extended the group to 100 participants instead of the originally planned 25. And yet, there was not room to included everyone, so I am sorry to inform you that unfortunately you have not been chosen as one of the participants.
Nonetheless, we truly appreciate your interest in the game and your support. As a little thank you for your willingness to help us build a better game, I am enclosing an eBook copy of one of my Jason Dark dime novels with this email, in case you'd like to visit some other fantastic world I've built.
Thank you once again for your support,
Guido Henkel and the Deathfire Team

Thank you very much for your interest in participating in our "Deathfire" focus group. You were chosen at random out of the entire number of interested participants.
Did you get an NDA? I've read so many conflicting things about this project from Guido himself - a few days ago he said it was a turn-based game, a month ago it was an action RPG. Can you tell us what it actually is?
Just got my rejection email
So Guido still has no idea what he actually wants to make or is there some clear design goal now? There is a kind of NDA, yes, but don't worry, you didn't miss out on that much info.
Yep, completed. Too many questions about the fucking title. I made suggestions about the game in the one before the last.
Hopefully there will be more about the game in the future.

He never said it was an action RPG, he said it was "action packed", which was just Henkel-style marketing gibberish for "it's going to be a great game".Did you get an NDA?
