The guys at the RPGHQ are doing another translation for the game, which may end up being great. If anyone feels like giving them a hand, head over there and volunteer
rusty is claiming it's on par with a high quality professional translation? Ok? In that short amount of time with AI? I'd love to see a screenshot of this. I honestly find it hard to believe.
Thread

I cant insert the video with the translation efforts on the intro, but you can check it out yourself. Its really good and the translation looks easier to understand than the old HTLS translation, have to wonder if itl be better than the new one, but more attention on this gem is always good.

This is the only He Luo game that, as far as I can recall, doesn't have any poetry or puzzles based around character homophones, so there shouldn't really be any difference between "professional" translation and AI double-checked and edited by someone bilingual. That being said, I have no idea why you would bother doing that a second time after Lash already has. What possible improvements are there to gain at this point?

That's exactly why I'm so confused. Unless some serious manual editing has gone into the translated text, I can't see how it'd be better than what Lash just released. That being said, I wouldn't consider Lash's latest patch to be a "high quality professional translation" despite being very readable. Character dialogue still reads a little infantile and silly.

I'm just curious what would make rusty so confidently boast such a thing about his. The translated opening video is nice, but I'd hardly call that a "high quality professional translation" either. I'd try out rusty's translation for myself to find out, but I don't want to go through the hassle of uninstalling Lash's patch and the resizer, only to have to install them again. I don't understand why rusty wouldn't post any in-game screenshots as an example of his work.

Would love to see how "proper" this translation is, especially compared to Lash's updated translation he released two weeks ago. Modron, care to take one for the team, install rusty's "proper" translation, and take some screenshots? Or Lhynn for that matter. Even just some dialogue in the opening cave and first village would give us a good idea.

Is it out yet?
He has builds in the RPGHQ thread and claims all the dialogue is complete, so for our purposes yes. Alternatively if one of you guys who has an account at HQ could just ask Rusty to post some examples, that'd be great too.

With so much attention being given to the game, would it make sense to bring mods in? This game has some meaty mods like 世界豐富MOD that add a ton of content and seem to be very popular, but I don't know how good they actually are.

Apparently the game has already a lot of content. More than 120h for a normal playthrough, without being a completitionist

I would love that, but it sounds like a pipe dream. While the game does have a ton of content, it also definitely feels a bit unfinished and apparently some of those meaty mods restored some obviously truncated/cut plotlines that you otherwise notice.

Yeah, martial arts like hidden weapons, short weapons, and poison could really stand to be fleshed out. You can tell a lot of the content for them was cut. They can only really work as secondary arts. Not sure if any mods address this too, but build variety would benefit greatly if they do. But yeah, seems unlikely, and probably pretty complicated to implement them in English. And with HTLS 2 somewhere on the horizon, focus will be shifting heavily to that. Let's hope Heluo has it in them to fully complete it! I feel for the guys. They're like a cursed studio. But they can't keep releasing unfinished games.
