After the dumpster fire of the initial release and years of patch later, how how's the game right now? Is it good for 10 hours of fun?
Or is it better to sit out for another 2 years
Sacked Carthage and learned the greatest enemy of Rome isn't barbarians, it's having a million forts in your territory because you conquer a bunch of small tribes and then go over your fort limit and the game helpfully only mentions this if you click on a territory, click the building menu, and then mouse over forts and inspect the tooltip.
I assume it's so you don't just carpet your entire country in forts, since each fort needs to be sieged and conquered and it partially covers every adjacent territory. You can insta-siege a non-fort territory but then it just pops back if it's under the influence of a fort. If you didn't have maintenance bullshit then you could make your land so fucking miserable to attack that anyone who even tried would move at a glacial pace. Which is all fine and dandy, I just wish they made it clearer when a province was over that cap since it's easy to go over as you're conquering shit. And yeah, it is a bit odd. It seems like building a fort somewhere counts as 3 points of the 5 point cap for a province, but additional levels of fort are only +1. So you can plop down a level 3 fort without going over, but two level 1 forts will put you slightly over. Been so long since I played EU4 I don't remember how it worked there, I remember forts being a bit fucky but I don't remember the specifics now since it's been years.Sacked Carthage and learned the greatest enemy of Rome isn't barbarians, it's having a million forts in your territory because you conquer a bunch of small tribes and then go over your fort limit and the game helpfully only mentions this if you click on a territory, click the building menu, and then mouse over forts and inspect the tooltip.
I don't get what fort limit does. It's not like you pay less for having the forts, only the cap fort is free. It seems like the intent is to let you have 1 fort per province but that just doesn't work, the cost is way too high
How is this Bronze Age Mod? I'm considering getting Imperator just for it, as I'm a bitch for Troy and Achilles and shit.
Will I regret it?
Wait wut? Is the mod abandoned on Imperator then and wont follow new game updates and such??Development moved to CKIII.

Yes.
I can't understand how someone can go back to EU4 after playing Inperator 2.0. The exception being if one plays to create fantasy clown-worlds.
