Unlikely to happen.
Not impossible I guess, but very unlikely.
Then again, I'm no modder.

However a workaround might be to just mod some item that will open a fast-travel menu with different places from Solstheim.
I guess that might be rather easy, but of course still restrict you to the places implemented in that menu.

I don't know which mod is responsible for what, and they are generally considered incompatible, but running Requiem on top of Duel (for its combat AI module) is p. awesome.

Enemies are more aware, seek you more actively and take helluva long time to stop searching.
They also take cover if they are attacked with ranged weapons, pick up available weapons befitting their situation if they don't have them (for example looting their fallen comrades for bows if you are attacking them from distance).
And they run. Human enemies run away when injured, wolves are still pretty aggressive, but if you injure them or kill one, they tend to scatter and run away. They use potions too.

Plus, there is lethality. Individual enemies aren't that hard, but unless you've invested a lot in HPs and have good *heavy* armour (light armour is much weaker, but it has great mobility perks that also work when you're not wearing any armour), there is an awful lot of stuff that kills you in one hit and that includes arrows. HPs and armour aren't there to make you tank better any more - you don't tank with Requiem - they merely give you some minimal margin of error by allowing you to withstand a hit or two.

Just rushing into the fray *will* get you killed especially if there are archers involved, hell, you will probably not even make it to the enemy. You need the right, build-dependent tactics to survive.

Oh, and both arrows and spells move at double speed, meaning that dodging is generally not very viable tactics unless you have cover. If you have cover, remember that many spells, like fireball, are AoE and don't need to hit you directly to make you die a horrible fiery death.

Played Whiterun battle yesterday and it was utter rapefest. You had fiery exploshuns (from both siege machines and defenders' response) all over the place, literal rain of arrows (falling both ways at once) and people cut down left and right while they run.

And then there are draugr. They are dead and generally ignore arrows. Ignore as in "so what that I have about three dozen arrows piercing my lungs? I don't need to breathe anyway. Those four in the face are slightly irritating though and for that you shall die". And they have archers of their own, meaning they can shoot you dead in 1-2 hits, but you can't shoot them unless you have silver arrows (and a lot of them). And some of them shout or cast. FFFFFUUUU-

And then there are spiders. They poison you and if you're poisoned you lose health rapidly and for a long time. And can't see shit.
The only way to get hit and not get poisoned is to have resistance above threshold for given poison.

The good thing is that most enemies can't tank either. If you can fight on your own terms it's almost pathetic.
Those random fucks that insult you on the road? It's pretty much click LMB for cinematic finisher.

Oh, and I run locational damage on top of that. :D

I do think that mods like Duel can provide a better combat that SkyRe, but the way SkyRe changes everything else like perks, stones, items spawning, crafting and the likes is just too good to pass...

Is there a mod that makes the logbook give more details about your quests? Or is there some kind of way to get more detailed info from NPC's regarding quest locations and stuff so I won't be forced to use the arrow?

SkyRe changes too much shit in arbitrary fashion.

For example it makes restoration into something along the line of D&D divine magic instead of concentrating on making it work better.
It also introduces derpy shit like fingersmith (pickpocket merged with lockpicking), and some "carnivore" or "herbivore" perks.

Requiem feels much more to the point and concentrated on improving core underlying rules rather than piling cruft on top of them.
For example with Requiem you'd be more happy to find a sword that just swings faster than one with cooler enchantments.
Or, instead of having lockpicking and pickpocket merged together it simply makes lockpicking matter by making you autofail lockpicking attempts without the right perks that in turn require spending points AND high enough skill level.

Plus, you can run Requiem or SkyRe (if you disable SkyRe's combat part, IIRC) on top of Duel.

DraQ Humm, that surely looks nice... I think I'll give it a try, I do get a lot of retarded HP bloat on bandits with SkyRe... could you post your entire mod list? I'm curious on what you use. :)

Agassi, I'm still waiting on your list as well, if you don't mind (even if censored). ;)

Are you able to estimate how will the Requiem work with stuff like mod-added enemies/spells/weapons and armor or Dragonborn DLC content(I assume the author changed a lot manually)? Or give an example how does that "tactical" gameplay look, say, with your build and character, and how it changes the better and more experienced the character gets?

You got me kind of interesting in that mod with all the praise you say about it.

I think those two perks have been removed some time ago. As for the other stuff, it comes down to taste, obviously.
I don't mind the fingersmith path. It combines two thief skills, so what?
On the other hand some perk-trees are probably too full and could use some careful weeding out and e.g. wayfarer seems a bit pointless to me.
My impression with SkyRe is that while it is very challenging at first, the game will become again too easy around lvl. 30.
This impression however is also based on an older version, I haven't tested the new version much, so it might be better now.

At the moment I'm anyway not too interested in another Skyrim playthrough, so I'm leaning back to see what comes out of the different projects.

I don't know, I'm level 72 right now, and SkyRe on Expert can be very challenging(Adept as well, but less of a 'hard mode' for end game characters). Stronger enemies, like Dragons and Lurkers, Draugr Deathlords or Arch Cryomancers will obliterate me in a few hits if I let them.

It's not the right place, but:

Are there any overhauls like SkyRe or Requiem for Morrowind? I've started a new character, magic-oriented one, and I would surely love a blast like I had with SkyRe.

Just tried Requiem for a bit, was very frustraed by one-hit kills and invincible bandits until I realized it's supposed to say "fuck you, main quest" and just go hiking & derping along the non-scalling world... quite interesting, especially stuff like how undead can only be harmed by silver weapons, so yo can even finish the first dungeon of the game without being properly equipped.

Not sure about the proper melee combat yet, most things just rape me so badly my only escape is a bow, but I definetly liked their use of poisons, running and overall AI stuff.

Oh my, that random vampire attack in Dawnguard is so retarded. I just went to Whiterun to sell some stuff then i found my favourite merchants being attacked and killed by vampires. After that i went to the stables and they killed the npcs and horses there too. Almost killed my horse too. What the fuck is this shit? I disabled this shit dlc after that immediately. Bethesda doesn't let us kill npcs but they let npcs kill essential npcs. Riiiiiight.

Do check those two mods that do make merchants and civilians run into shelter when under attack by Vampires and Dragons. I did post them a bit earlier in the thread. They did work pretty well for me... Within reason. It will not help characters who can fight for themselves but it will protect civilians and merchants.

I did still get the Winterhold College cleared by a single super frost dragon when I did use Live Another Life to begin as a student there though. Nasty.

Edit: Or do it the other way around. If you do enjoy the chaos and do not want to actually complete the game use the Zombie Apocalypse Mod in conjuntion with super mega epic Dragons and more powerful Vampires, make all NPCs non-essential, and watch the world burn. Post-Apocalyptic Skyrim, just add water.

Live Another Life does not. It does allow you to begin in different ways (I do like the Vampire start myself) but it does still allow for the Main Quest to be done. You do start with a quest to 'look into the rumors of Civil War activities on Helgen' or something like that. Once you do decide to visit Helgen you do arrive just after the Dragon Attack and from there you can follow the plot as usual. I do also run all my dragon mods last so that nothing will affect them: I do like them unleveled (your level does not matter) and appearing from the very begining instead of after you do talk with the first Jarl.

But then I do not doubt my game is throughly broken with all the mods I do use, and it should be pretty much impossible to finish the game normally. I do play Skyrim mostly as an utterly violent and hostile sandbox with Warzones, super dragons, Skymomod + monster wars, ridiculously high spawn rates and numbers, etc.

That was what I was referring to, that the game puts the main quest on hold. Unlike you, however, I'm purposedly avoiding the main quest.

Then you can really feel awesome when you sit atop the mountain of corpses, twitch your fluffy ears, and say 'Nya!'
You mean there's a good mod where you can play or get in your party a catgirl?
I'd google images for you, but then my computer would be hacked by catgirl worshipers. And that's not even the worst case scenario in this damned modding scene.

It happens really rarely after the last patch, only seen it happen twice in 40 levels of new character. It is annoying when they kill merchants, yes, though you can bring them back if it really annoys you.

There are. Check Skyrim Nexus and Loverslab for the most popular ones: You do have catgirl races, craftable ears and tails to turn any character into a catgirl, and even Tera's Elin race adapted to Skyrim.

There are much worse things as well.

Skyrim is best game ever when one does totally ignore the plot and just does go around catching butterflies and hunting super monsters. :P

I do ignore it too. I just have a mod that does spawn dragons as soon as the game begins instead of after going to fight in the tower. I do love me some superpowered dragons. It does make me love my pwetty unicorn all the more when his dashing speed is all standing between me and a giant dinosaur with wings and bad breath. :P

Edit: Two more mods you guys may be interested in.

The first one is Skymomod, aka Skyrim Monster Mod. It does add a whole bunch of new monsters to the game, most of them with really nice graphics and models. It is not 'lore friendly' but, like, who cares? There are some pretty awesome beasties in there.

The second one is Skyrim Monster Wars. It is an 'addon' to Skymomod that does something similar with monsters to what Warzones does with the Civil War, by which I do mean it does basically take the monsters from Skymomod and does make them fight guards, caravans, and participate in battle against... blue stripes. Yes, the ones from The Witcher. If you do get 5.0 instead of 5.1 it does also make the monsters get into packs and attack towns and villages and other locations on the world map, which are now all protected by members of the blue stripes as well as the usual soldiers and guards.

It does also add a few monsters of its own to Skymomod's catalogue. It does have an extra 'hardcore' patch that does raise the difficulty a bit and a 'hardcore + dragons' patch that does also add ten powerful dragons to the map. It is pretty fun.

If you do manage to run those along with Warzones (it is kind of hard) you can from time to time get some pretty awesome battles where three or more factions (monsters, imperials, stormcloaks, blue stripes, random spawns, and special monsters spawned by Warzones itself to crash the party, plus the ocassional dragon or three) do fight a massive deathmatch battle that will either CTD your game or bless you with beautiful chaos.

While I found Skyrim Monster Mod almost utterly tasteless with that vomit textures, there's also the Purist Lore-Friendly version that cuts 90% of balrogs or baphemots and sticks to the legacy of previous TES games. It's always nice for rabbit or fox to be sometimes replaced with wild guar, or get raped by durzogs. Maybe not the most lore-friendly thing ever for Skyrim province, but I find it more lore-friendly than the lack of werebears etc.

Anyone has any idea how to efficiently do a mount mod for Skyrim? I'm thinking about doing a netch calf or silt strider mount if it won't be too much of a hassle. Maybe Prosper will help me.

EDIT: netch will be probably easier

Weird, I always imagined silt striders' movement to be similar to cranes.

Someone will surely mod the silt strider in Dragonborn to be ride-able at some point.
