Dayum. Real-time will be interesting, given how large armies are suppossed to be on the field, but there is a pause button visible so there is that at least. The dev looks absolutely bro-tier in the interview, this immediately goes on my wishlist.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Bubbles In Memoria
Firefight was released over 8 years ago, but it's been regularly updated since then.
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/500190/view/4259923998347833458
Version 9.0.0
Version 9 now has a new squad order interface so you have more fine control over your units. You can get them to crawl to their destination by ordering 'sneak', you can set them to ambush, or completely hold their fire if you want. You can now also re-mount squads onto halftracks.

The summary of the update is:

- new squad orders user interface
- added 'Sneak', 'Ambush', 'Mount', 'Halt' and 'No Firing' commands
- blue line points from a unit's centre to its destination marker
- orange line points from a mortar squad's centre to its target
- new infantryman icon on the Custom game carousel now shows if a vehicle can mount a squad

Not sure if this was already mentioned - it is an interesting Cthulhu-centric city builder. I tried out the demo and it was p. enjoyable. You lead a cult that settles an abbadoned island, build up economy, worship the elder gods, summon demons and use them to fight people on other islands.

Ah fuck... there is absolutely no need to bring steam punk robots into the French Revolution, that setting is cool enough as it is. Also Céline Bonaparte? I would like this to be good, but... nah.

My former manager is also making another Advance Wars clone using ReactJS.

He's a frontend magician and an opensource advocate, so the tech bits are quite interesting if you catch one of his talks.
