He fucking zinged me so fucking bad with that shit. He was so fucking smooth about it too, disguising it as a Troika press release.

Deleting posts again Exitium? I can understand if this was a Codex policy, or even if it was something that was often implemented, but it's not. I've seen a bunch of links to tubgirls, gaping anuses, etc. (tinyurl anyone?) on these boards and nothing has been done about them before. Just because your girlfriend saw them, oh no! Give me a break. And that whole idiocy about "and just posting to increase your post count", what a crock of shit. I've seen people do that type of thing all the time, and that includes you. Instead of replying to everyone in a single post, making multiple posts that consist of one or two-liners.

So can you stop being a dumbfuck when it comes to admin powers. It never seems to end with you. You've always got some sort of stick up your ass.

Really?
Because there is a whole heap that have been moved to retardo land. This is hardly the first time explicit pictures have been censored; or are you merely complaining about the link being censored?

I for one can do without pictures of gaping anuses or tubgirls. If its obvious what the link is, well, Im not gonna click on it. But there are issues here for those of us who are in a workplace that does not frown on external internet use, and if a co-worker (or superior) were to see pictures of this nature on our screens, accidentally or not, there would be some repercussions. Nothing I couldn't wiggle out of, but it would be...uncomfortable...

Besides, an admin does have the right to do this at the very least, surely? The codex seems tio have a policy in freedom of speech in letting ridiculous flame fests rage on pointlessly, but Im not sure how you can justify in extending this to posting pictures (or links to pictures) of explicit material.

Oh, and if it is a change in policy, I dont think its a bad thing. Maybe Im a prude

I'm betting it wasn't the tubgirl post that upset him.

Troika sure are dragging this out for everyone. I wish they'd just tell us. I hope they get another chance though, I'd like to see them finally get a game out the door as it should have been done. If they combine the best bits of their three games they'd have something that'd be remembered for a good while, like Fallout. Seeing tragically flawed games with elements of great design is frustrating.

As far as I know, there was no picture in the post that was deleted. It was just a link. Links have been fair game.

You're a moron Volourn. For example, what's this?

Next, if Dark Underlord's was the offending post, why not just remove that one. Instead he deleted every post after it as well. Shameless. Heck, the Codex now has Retardo Land, why didn't the posts go there?

All I know is deleting posts is gay!

And for you unsuspecting masses, just get Firefox and use AdBlock to block the images. That's what I do.

Yeah, he should be glad people aren't posting this on other sites like he did with the "No free rides" campaign.

Aye, thats what I do too.

But if you have not Adblock-ed the image before, then any adblocking is done after the fact. i.e. 1st you see the picture, then you adblock it and never see it again. This is fine, except if a work colleague sees the initial instance of the picture. Red faces all round.

I agree about the "not deleting posts" thing. Perhaps censoring the link would have been better?

Yeah Shagnak, that would have been better. Exitium just seems to get a little hotheaded at times.

Hot headed? Give me a break. DarkUnderlord posted a tubgirl image that could get a lot of people in trouble just for clicking it, and a lot of people fell for it. There was no freaking way I could have left it up.

I don't think most bosses would be too pleased to see their employees surfing sites like these, much less looking at shit like tubgirl.

Fez, I don't mind those joke posts you make but could you please tone them down instead of posting them all over the place? This site has no shortage of bullshit, you don't need to add to it.

Just because we have a policy of free speech and freedom of expression doesn't give you the right to start posting links or images of porn, goatse, gaping anuses or anything like that.

What you fail to realize is that you're not their conscious [EDIT: what I mean by this is if they do something inappropriate at work like visiting this site then that's their problem]. But hey, whatever. I thought it was funny and whitty (More so than those photoshopped pics of Pat that you posted which was borderline pedophilic).

Well, I've had my ups and downs, but I try to improve. I'm still not sure how anyone can honestly get mad at me for removing that link. People DO get in trouble for clicking on stuff like that.

Inappropriate?
In my work, cruising news sites and forums during occasional work pauses is considered to be quite acceptable. In my field, visiting something like the Codex (or any other software/game news or tech site) is not considered "inappropriate".

However, viewing porn or explicit gross-out crap is not considered acceptable at my work. Are you suggesting that this is the standard here? If thats the case then I gues I should only visit here when Im at home and I can consider it safe to view PRON

Wierd, I thought the policy was to never delete stuff and only send it to Retardo Land. I must be reading a different staff forum.

Thanks Spazmo, that's what I thought too, despite not having read the staff forum.

Whenever I see that I think of the southpark episode where Cartman thought he was a vietnamese prostitute named Ming Lee. "Hey, Soldier boy! Fi dolla sucky sucky!"
