Fallout 4 only lets you have one. Does this mean Bethesda's engine has only regressed since then?
FO4 originally let you have dogmeat and a humanoid companion. Afaik, it was removed in late development because it was causing bugs due to the increased companion interactivity. Lots of remnants of it still remain and are apparent if you use a multi-companion mod. Companions will frequently talk to dogmeat, yell out if he has found something or is hurt, etc.,

Anyone who has tried to use more than one companion in Bethesda games can tell you why there's really a limit - the AI pathfinding turns into a clusterfuck as soon as two NPCs need to use a doorway at the same time. Forgot about balance, forget about memory limitations, forget about bugs. It's because having one companion is already frustrating enough.

Multi-companion mods get around this by allowing them/you to walk through each other.

Everybody says splashing Monk for Crane Wing.

I’d say activating Guardian Stance on Eder.

Low by what standard? Are you trying to impose your morality on them?
"lowest common denominator" doesn't refer to quality but to applicability. The denominator is the number on the bottom of a fraction; the lower the denominator, the larger a fraction you have. "appealing to the lowest common denominator" means appealing to the largest fraction of the population.

Is writing a whole dumb paragraph using fancy words like 'inherent,' 'semblance,' and 'reprisal' but using '4' as short for 'for' worse than racist violence and police murder? Almost, I think.
This may be showing my power level, but I don't think those are particularly fancy words

Acktuawlly, you're right. That's a great, hidden point. Do you contest the (probably inappropriate) pejorative connotation connected to it tho? Especially in these parts?

#GameDevPaidMe Some of this is fuzzy. SoCal prices.
99 Black Isle - Web Developer: $34k
00-03 - Junior-Lead Designer: $55k?
03-05 Midway - Lead Designer: $75k?
05-09 Obsidian - Lead Designer: $85k?
10-15 - Director: $100-$130k?
15-19 - Studio Design Director: ~$165k
20 - $200k

Three Clown Studio doubled his salary in ten years based on the performance of Pillars of Eternity and Deadfire I guess.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Not sure Obsidian is getting their value there. Then again, I'm sure their remaining founders are even worse in terms of salary to value ratio.

I don't think $200k is incredibly high for a senior management / director role in SoCal.

I'm not saying this is right or good or just, but this is an accursed world, and that's what's going on in it.
:prosper: A job that requires a lot more knowledge and skill than say drawing or writing pays a lot more you say?
