Already signaled, people didn't seem very thrilled about it.

Same as above.

Fixed, thanks for signaling it.

Anima - Gate of Memories - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1188790300/anima-gate-of-memories-0 - "Anima Gate of Memories is an action RPG set in the Anima Beyond Fantasy world featuring a deep compelling story and exciting game play"; Anima Beyond Fantasy ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anima_Beyond_Fantasy ) "Anima is a fantasy setting developed in Spain by Carlos B. García Aparicio and Anima Project Studios. Anima was significantly inspired by Japanese roleplaying video games such as Final Fantasy and Suikoden, and features manga-like art, Eastern concepts of honor codes, mysticism and martial arts. Additionally, the world of Anima combines those elements with traditional Western fantasy ones, such as magic and medieval arms."

TL-DR: some kind of weabo-style action RPG. The art looks above average, so, at least, there's that.

Make the Codex Great Again!
Consortium is an FPS set in space, with adventure and RPG-lite elements, and C&C. Got System Shock 2 and Deus Ex vibes from the video; it also has timed dialogue like TWD. Looks interesting.

Yeah, that sounds interesting but the models look late-'90s/early-2000s bad. If they manage to pull off everything they're promising, I'll learn to live with the fugly graphics because I think the ideas aren't bad at all.

Its pretty much Freelancer crossed with X3 has proceedural generation and its already met it's goal.

Pledged. This is the perfect example of the kind of developer who truly needs and deserves support. He's young, he has a strong vision, he gave an excellent pitch, he has a lot to show already, and he wants to make the kind of games pre-consolization players like to play.

We need as many of him as we can get, stat. Dig deep.

You're right. I pledged more than a week ago, but it's nice to see other people taking notice of this game.

Imminent Kickstarter campaign for Evil Hat's Fate Core ruleset (table top gaem). The Kickstarter will be launched next week, but you can see and comments about information, video and rewards. According to the creator, they deliberately chose a long campaign to tweak an improve the rules of the game with backers playtesting during the two month campaign duration.

You'll get instant access to the PDF with the rules the moment you pledge (so they say), even at the $1 level.

More information at Evil Hat's site :advertisingplant:

Alex: Yeah, and supposedly Dresden Files RPG was based in Fate 2.0, and they said they would release the final version shortly after DF, but it didn't happen. Now I don't really know if this is Fate 2 or a new version of it, because according to the comments in the aforementioned page I linked, there are several differences already 'tween the rulesets DF uses and the Core version.

I remember Fate and Spirit of the Century (as well as Fudge) being pretty good. In fact, there's a copy of Spirit of the Century parked on a shelf about twenty feet to my right. They're lite rules systems though, and as such as I hold them in fond contempt.

Even after I stopped actively playing tabletop RPGs—not enough time, couldn't find a group of dorks :obviously: enough for my taste, et cetera—I enjoyed collecting and reading core rulebooks and sourcebooks for quite a while.

I sort of like the graphics, it's like the pixel art of 3D.

However, my concern is that they won't be able to pull off what they're claiming. They don't talk about their writing credentials at all.

From the very beginning of this project we’ve believed that MUSIC is one of the most important storytelling tools we have at our disposal. This is why we have on our team who we believe to be the single greatest game composer in history – JEREMY SOULE.
