emblem in the mines?
Smash through this pink wall, it's above where the rebels are hiding out. You can tell it's a 1-tile wall by the shading.

I just started really, but already 90% certain that this game will be worse than Horizon's Gate, which makes me sad.

WTF can't a I pick my race? I wanted Horizon's Gate but better. Got Horizon's Gate but worse.

Btw you have missed a few secret areas judging by your map =D
I took that screenshot right after I found that so I could remember it.

I recall now the dev said there was an ability crest somewhere by mistake and he switched it out with a tablet, so there you go.

After you've beaten the Duke and the Silver Prince, there's a guy in town who gives you one as a reward. I found 10 in my playthrough so there should be plenty.

Just found some Volskarn.. whats the best use for it?
So far I’ve just been putting it in as armor augments to get +2MP.

The benefit of Volskarn equipment is that you can add 3 augments instead of 2, so you could use it to put 3 triggers into a weapon, for example. edit- as Grampy_Bone said it’s 2 instead of 1 for weapons, not 3 instead of 2–I was thinking of another special weapon.

Build spoiler:
There is a passive ability that makes triggers scale with magic power and (I think) fire/lightning mastery, so a certain build can make weapon triggers do loads of damage.

One of my mages is the hardest hitter in my party, doing 8+8+8+8 damage a swing, and I haven’t even optimized them for max magic power.

The only one who can do more damage at the moment is my titan with minmaxed strength using suplex, but this depends on the enemy not having high strength themselves.
Alright I'm not seeing it.

In order to get +8 x 4, you are getting +7 to each trigger stone, and you have +7 to your base damage?

I'm not seeing how you're getting that much bonus damage so easily...

Example, currently my MC mage has:

1 STR
4 MAG (+2)
2 Ruin Adept (+1)

so with 3 trigger stones my damage is +2/+4/+4/+4 = 14

It's very good, but it's not 32 damage... for that you would need:

7 STR
8 MAG (+4)
4 Ruin Adept (+2) [3+5+7+9 = 24 stars which is 7200 XP in a single class]
2 Blaze Adept (+1)

or something similar... seems like this is extreme endgame?

So I found out something interesting, if you have ranks in a skill bought using XP, then you equip the tablet for said skill, then unequip the class that gave you the skill, you have access to the skill via the tablet AND you also benefit from any ranks in that skill that you bought

so it's like a free class emblem

I had trigger stones doing +5 w/ 4 magic (easy with accessory + the passive that increases MP costs) and 4 blaze adept, Dragoon dual-strike equals 4 stones, so 4x5=20, + the weapon damage which was 4-6, so around 30 damage, plus Fragile bonus puts it up to 40+. If I used the trigger staff it would have been higher.

Using the Teamwork skill, if I stood next to another party member I could get +2 more magic and str, boosting the total damage by 5-6. Yes, it took the entire game's worth of XP to bring this online.

Meanwhile, shatter + fragile is super easy, barely an inconvenience, and deals plenty of damage. Being able to one-shot two guys with a single character is neat though.

It was supposed to be a gate anchor ability tablet, but a bit of misclick before made it an ability crest which he fixed a patch or two ago. In this case you'll get more use out of the tablet because it will let anchor 1 more distance improving mobility and getting a decent item in the ravine area of the mine.

I went there before the patch and missed out on it.

I have no idea why the two ice/ruin stones are getting more than the fire one

Does Shatter boost damage from the Trigger Stones / Stone Savant strategy? Or is it just the physical damage?

The only cool bows were one that had extra range and one that did extra damage if you had a clear shot. Don't remember where either was though since I didn't use them.
Yeah the Vast Bow is bought from a trader after you complete the Prince thing, it's pretty much the best bow because range > all, but it's very disappointing for an end game weapon

The Decider Bow is basically pointless because the whole benefit of bows is being able to shoot over stuff

The electric bow is also useless because it's just going to damage your allies or hit nothing most of the time

I am a little confused by this one, do I need an item I haven't got yet or something?
Yes you haven't gotten one unique tool yet (alternatively gate anchor tablet should be enough to get there early):

So

I made a little discovery maybe you guys already knew this

But you can use tablets as augments, in any slot even a shield or gauntlets

That's not really the amazing part as it literally says that in the description of the tablets, but here's the thing

When you use them as augments they still boost the rank of the skill, though you must have normal access to the skill, you don't get it as a bonus skill unless it's in the accessory slot

ALSO the +1 rank that the tablet provides at all times, can boost the skill past its normal limit of 5 ranks...

Eldiran found a bug, if you teleport using Anchor onto a single tile area, you can't teleport out again, something about having 6 party members on the same tile causes it to fail

Also as you can see above, you can run into this room without lighting the brazier =D
