Well, I wish I had better Curing spells on my current party because you will routinely eat 30-90 damage per round on everyone, including your soft casters, and without any way to restore it you will just eat that much again next round.

tip: if you're getting bombed with AOE disables like web or whatever early game, you can drop a fog cloud on yourself

enemy webs and grease and shit cannot overrule the fog cloud (unless they do gust of wind I guess). from there you can whip out your own spells.

oh nevermind, only works on gaseous stuff :D

Pierre said somewhere that there's one air slot and one ground slot for spell effects. Stuff like stinking cloud is in the air, and stuff like web and grease is on the ground.

I play with half-giant champion, mantis gladiator, human psion, elf wizard, human cleric, and halfling bishop

The big problem at this point is that you'll get 2 campfires for saving the dwarf, but in order to clear any of these guys you need to go balls to the wall on every battle. The fights against the guys on the battlements suck because your melees can't get to them and there's all of like 4 ranged weapons in the entire game.

I swear, Pierre has played too much Painkiller or Serious Sam. You guys ever play Serious Sam? Half the battles in this are straight out of Serious Sam.

First crack at the keep. Had a good fight going. Paralysed the bitch with 25 attacks (literally she has TWENTY FIVE attacks) and gibbed her. Double tornado blast on the towers to stop them double casting.
Party was keeling over but i had all the tower mages dead and was getting through the ground fucks, could taste the victory and.... more tower reinforcments. More double casters. FUCK ME.

Gonna go have a look at the other fights.

I was going to load an older save to do some things differently. A save from after the fight with the summoner bitch.

Man. My savegame after the Chapter 3 entrance fight is corrupted, and the one before the fight is also corrupted. It has some weird CR 2 crocodiles in the fight room that fuck up everything.

Oh, and flying stuff is immune to ground effects, and he mentioned a later plan to add a flying subrace. It could be interesting to just be able to float over your own webs.

I would love to try, but right now I'm enjoying the hidden effect of the potion of water breathing that crashes the game whenever I use it.

According to the patch notes, they only crash the game 'rarely.'

Listen, have them carry the potions, and use them in-combat.

Just save, quit and reload a hideous number of times, then use the potion, then save quit and reload a hideous number of times more, then dive. Works like 35% of the time.

Or stop playing right now.

Reinstalling the entire game fixed the triggers in that room. I must have edited the room on accident...? Or it mysteriously spawned some crocodiles somehow. Well, after a reinstall they are gone...

Load game, go into the cultist, start a fight, after the fight start load your game and use the potion of water breathing out of combat.

found a way to circumvent this, just trigger another encounter, the fire salamanders or the main boss fight, just triggering is enough, then reload your save. potion should work then

Cleared another battlement and the surprise guys on the way back to the dwarf, there's a bunch of giants to the south on the lower left hand side of the map.

FYI, the claymore the merchants sell in the upper sewers is perfect for my samurai even better than that dispelling weapon in the spider rooms.

found a way to circumvent this, just trigger another encounter, the fire salamanders or the main boss fight, just triggering is enough, then reload your save. potion should work then

It worked perfectly: I managed to drink the potion and... the game crashed as soon as I dived into the pool. This game is gay, but in a good way I guess.

Oh yeah it always crashes if you try to load a new area without first crashing or ALT+F4ing.

Do the procedure to use the potion.
Save.
Crash or ALT+F4
Then transition and it should work.

Needs to be repeated every time you change areas.

But it's not that bad, after all Pierre played through it without issues.
