No good, prismatic void is not a gaze attack.

Only way to mitigate the damage is reflex save, and even then you could still take 100hp damage by character max damage is 200(or disntegrated or petrified..). So only way i can see is anti magic cloud and melee it, but do you have that...

Maybe you need a rogue/monk with improved evasion? they take 0 damage on successful reflex saves

Wont work, only one char surviving. Nope the secret is the ultimate optimized party . Maybe 1 half giant gladiator , 2 mantis gladiator (jasede idea) , then psion , conjuration wizard , last one cleric or bishop maybe .Means you need to buy anti magic cloud from the coven and tornado .Still require the star to align and you win initiative, else they can shoot you before you land any of those spells.

Well, we'll see. I'll say that that party can kill both goblins, the hydra, or one group of goblins alone without using scrolls. I did that!
Only 1 scroll used in lower sewer: in the fire cave, confusion.

By the way, if you give the Half-Giant trip warrior a reach weapon he'll be able to AoO trip approaching enemies. Useful.

I'm still going to call it impossible since that seems to be working so far.

So, the moment I saw that the update dropped I wanted to post about how I'm going to show you all how real 3.5-based optimization looks like and that I'm really optimistic about how it's going to go.

But, uh, I kind of missed the Kickstarter. Any way of buying the game for now? Or should I reach out to Pierre de Sade myself?

I just don't understand what your intended approach to kill the hydra is, other than using the arrow of slaying and praying for luck. You can't melee it, and it heals so much per round. It even has great saves so you can't lock it down with spells easily either...

By the way, you get 200 extra XP if you kill the hydra before the lizard king...

Must have got lucky with hydra fight cos it used all it's attacks on my summond tentacled horror. Hacked it to pieces with my fighters.
Could you cast mass invisibility and then get in close?

I've made it to chapter 3 with my very nice party, but there's still a nagging feeling I should reroll and replace the Samurai with another Gladiator; he just does so little and he's never going to get any better, either, I don't think. I guess the DR penetration comes in handy.
Contrary to most of you I found the intro fight not too bad. Got lucky with initiative, disabled the bitch and presto.

Honestly regretting not letting the demon and others spawn for extra xp. It seemed like such a hard fight at the time...

I pledged late. Emailed Pierre to ask and he said it was fine. Got the game in under a day.
Send him an email and see what he says.

You can trip on AoO and you can trip anything you can reach. They don't have to be next to you with a reach weapon.
