I'd be paranoid about trying new leaks, personally; I wouldn't put it past the TG zealots to stick a virus in one to punish us thieves.

This comment from someone at the site that was linked to is gold:

"This is not even released... It's leaked! Great! I guess you can't trust nobody anymore..."

Fucking moron is downloading from a place called The Pirate Bay and he talks about trust.

Actually, when I tried to upgrade 1.08b to 1.09b, the game became unplayable.

Of course it did. TG fucked up it intentionally to make your game unplayable.

Also we wanted to thank them for that but only a single goatse image forced them to fully close registrations on their site for the whole week.
Funny thing - they've sent two trolls our way after that and a few moments later those "trolls" were running back crying. Even made a topic there about how terrible the Codex is.

Good times.

They looked into the Codex and found themselves looking into the distended anus of evil.

Codex is a gaping hole, your only chance is to turn around and face it.*

TSLRP is never ever going to be released. The one person that seemed to have been active on the actual programming hasn't been heard from in months. The rest of the mod team has allready acknowledged that without him they can do little but betatest their latest release. In other words, the buglist grows but noone is going to fix any of them. Thankfully they really don't need anyone's help, thank you very much.

Best part is that the forum is still filled with the same tools that have been 'eagerly awaiting' the game for the past 4 years and whom still lynch anyone who even dares to suggest that the mod might be in trouble. TSLRP should be studied mandatory by anyone ever considering to make a mod or do any other computer related project. It really manages to breathe new life in the old "if you can't be a great example, strife to be a horrible warning" saying.

I offered to help fix any engine bugs (there is some memory leak crash) but was told that they wouldn't use them due to EULA stating exe can't be modded. I wasn't even asking for their precious just offering to help and was rebuffed. I can see if the exe patches included some kind of cd check circumvention but for fixing bugs? I can understand the whole idea of wanting to get everything perfect but that's why you do releases in stages like most sane developers do.
